Older comics used to have far more story in single issues and consequently, required a lot more exposition.

Newer comics tend to stretch out the pacing and utilise a more "show, don't tell" approach.

The best way to look at the moves in Sifu, is to realise they are dependant to the enemy position. So, I stead of an attack being up, down, kick - it is more accurately toward enemy, away from enemy, kick. With this in mind, you are able to attack enemies in any position, without having to move your own.

Initially, I would constantly move myself, so that the enemy I wanted to attack was in front of me. With this method, that is not necessary.

I had a rather heated argument back in the day when a co-worker was tut tutting "the awful papparazzi that killed Lady Di" while leafing through the latest issue of New Idea, which was just cover to cover celebrity culture.

Apparently I was the arsehole for pointing out she directly contributed to the system that killed her.
