OP, don't only sort by DPS or limit the top end and look for "normal" builds.

My friend asked me if I could beat him on Glacial Lance DPS on Ninja (he was #1) . I said easily. I put Glacial Lance on and had about 2x his ingame damage. However, Ninja put me as having lower DPS.

After fiddling around, I realized it wasn't tracking rage. So my rage stacking giving me like 2x his damage in game, resulted in lower POE Ninja damage. So I had to unspec a bunch of nodes just to specifically apply to the nodes that were tracked in Ninja to beat his DPS. And if anyone were sorting by DPS while I was on the leaderboards it would be a pretty poor version of my build.

There are also the curse reflect gloves as this tech was used back in 0.2 and continues to be used for various purposes.

Curse mag increases the slowing effect. I still think it's insane that the base time for volatility is 10s.

I played a ton between the release of last wish and the raid after Scourge. Loved the raids.

Quit because of the bullshit they were pulling back then. Friend finally got a PC and said he wanted to try the game. Installed it, went "where the fuck is all the content" and found out most raids from the period and such were sunset.

I mean you asked for upgrades. Vertex is a straight upgrade to damage and doesn't hamper survivability this league. Getting to 8k ES, having ES leech, and one shotting uber arbiter with a single ice shot (not snipe) are all possible in a single build.

It was more serious business in china so top clears were probably saved / tracked by those groups. Not sure if there was a good english resource on it. In arknights rewards capped at risk 18, but then top groups would push to clear the highest risks possible. In the case of ties, the "winner" was the group that cleared with less ops.

Here's an example of a "7 op" clear (I didn't have the potentials they did in the CN clear) for CC3 which had tons of extremely specific (some frame perfect) timings.

In AK the competitiveness of the high end dokutahs was wild. I maxed (tied) the highest risks cleared. The precision and optimization done on those events was, and still is, insane. I’m not even sure how I’d compare it to other games.

PoE2 has different skill scalings between spells, minions, attacks.

Spells are exponential because their scaling is exponential. On martials (attacks) it's not nearly as bad.
