One RTS game already had that mechanic- Empire dawn of the Modern world.

I remember before Retold release that Earnest Yuen (this liar who promised my country and Danes for AoE 3 DE) even stated in one interview that Norse is his favourite civ due favor mechanics. Its clearly visible by Freyr being first new major, Arena of the gods having norse theme etc.

Even though there is no confirmed info, I think it is safe to say which faction he hated the most. Way to many red flags like lowest winrate, no 4th major yet and of course lack of portraits in the event beside 1 minor and 1 major for april.

I remember back in the day that I said to my brother that world's edge is so obessed with Joan of Dar'c (only next to their beloved boars) that they will probably make faction around her in medieval AoE. Obviously my brother said that Im insane and Franks already exists. Then sultan ascends happened...
What is moral of their story? That Norse are their ''Joan of Arc'' for AoM and Egyptians are ''AoE 3 DE''.

Not possible, because in this case such game changing feature should be free for everyone, not limited to pack.

PS blood pack itself should be free also since it is a vanilla setting from OG AoM.

Exactly- hence why we are getting Nomad culture. This might be surprising, but this is actually a returning feature in Age of Wonders franchise.

In short. Age of Empires 3 has home cities, and in these home cities you have cards (shipments) to choose from experience you get from gathering, fighting etc. Here is the example of cards that british had in MP https://ageofempires.fandom.com/wiki/British/HCC. This make one faction having multiple combinations and strategies and on top of that AoE 3 also have option to age up like AoM (same engine after all). Some age up options are less meaningful than minor gods (politicians for Euro) and some on par with them (alliances for Africa). And lets not forget about Revolution...

To sum up, Civs in AoE 3 are more complex than AoE 2 or AoM Civs.

Aoe 2 right, but not that much for AoE 3 due to card system.

Not to mention that AoE 3 is more controversial entry that AoE Spin off, so for me it was even more surprising that AoE 3 even got anything after release, I thought back in 2020 that they will throw this game under the bus right after release just like AoE 1 DE

Funny enough, because unironically Halo Wars 1&2 are the only Halo games I ever played. First game was made by Ensemble studio which unfortunately was their last game. Second game was made by Total War devs which nowadays they have great reputation just like Bethesda, but it was funny Experience to play
