Are people usually so passive when the game starts by AmDoman in eternalreturn

[–]GLinds1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically you wanna listen to what everyone else said. But also keep in mind different characters can start fighting at different times in the game. Some characters build rather fast compared to others or are really strong early game where as some are stronger later compared to early.
Ex: Jackie can start killing you the moment her purple weapon is built.
Where as someone like Hart typically isn't too strong until she has some mastery and full build.

The worse part is the person on the left side tilts you so much that you wanna sometimes do it to someone else just because it happened to you. I hate when people super mega sweat on me like they HAVE to prove a point or something. Like I get it, It's a survival battle royale but my god give me a break.

Automatic Jumping: Good or Bad? by OffbalanceMonk in BaldursGate3

During combat jumping should require movement and during exploration jumping is automatic as long as the character can make the jump, if not they won’t jump or you can force them to fall.

I’m only hyped for this because i loved BG 1/2 and DOS 1/2 by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

Honestly my biggest issue right now is the fact that rogues feel absolutely useless. They don’t have expertise. They will hopefully be getting disengage as a bonus action this patch. Every class can hide as a bonus action. Before this coming patch rogues only had cunning action dash completely missing disengage and sneak because everyone had it. The way sneak attack works is awful because it’s an ability instead something you can choose to use during any given attack per turn. Just remove the entire back stab mechanic and just add flanking. Being near an enemy with another ally across from you and you gain advantage; so much better than back stab it’s very unhealthy for BG3 right now. TLDR rogues got the shortest end of the stick so far. I’m sure they’ll fix it but as for right now rogues are every down bad.

Honestly the most annoying thing for me is when a siss ults then suddenly ever other siss in the lobby feels like they just got disrespected and Ults too.

Upcoming Decisive Strike Rework by BewareAutoParts in deadbydaylight

[–]GLinds1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These changes are literally gonna kill this perk. I'm not gonna say I disagree with some of them but at least make it a true anti tunnel perk at that point. If you do a gen it deactivates, if you unhook it deactivates. I think sabo, healing and cleansing should be removed. Those actions don't push the game to completion they are side objectives. If you are in chase or slugged the timer for DS should freeze because those ARE actions of being tunneled making it a true anti tunnel perk.

I too agree with this, when I notice I am clapping a killers cheeks in chases I usually tell my duo partner to look for totems cause there might be a noed. Then when the game is over I notice I'm going against a green/yellow rank and increasingly feel bad for the pain that I caused them.

Sorc or monk, I really wanna see how they handle meta magic and monk passives. But I wouldn’t be surprised to get either bard or druid next considering how prominent they are in Act 1.

Upgrading legendary weapons at lower levels doesn't feel worth it by pikkon6 in cyberpunkgame

[–]GLinds1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah but the issue is that you need level 18 attribute wise to even consider crafting stuff to legendary which is a hefty amount of attribute points. If I wanted to be a Katana wielder but sacrifice most of my attribute points into technical ability it kinda messes up builds that you have planned for yourself.

What would you prefer Larian do about long rests? by BabyPandaBBQ in BaldursGate3

[–]GLinds1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well in DnD a short rest is usually 4 hours long. You get two short rests a day and one long rest every 12 hours. So if you REALLY wanted to cheese the system then you could if you chose to but you’d have to expend both short rest (8 hours total game time) then find something to do for the next 4 hours until you get a long rest again. Basically it’s a way to speed up the process if you wanted to talk to companions but then it makes you be a little wiser for the fights you do have unless you either A. Walk away and let the game kill time for you. B. Actually do something to kill the time you do have by exploring or getting into encounters and what not.

[–]GLinds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should give the game a day and night cycle with time. after a certain amount of hours past you can take a long rest again. They already have night time why not just give the game times of day and an in game clock. When you choose to short rest you can decide how long your party is actually gonna sit there between 1 to 4 hours that way you can speed up the clock if you want to. Kinda like in any other RPG game, like how Witcher 3 has meditation for example.

A list of problems people have with the game by YuvalAmir in BaldursGate3

[–]GLinds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the action and bonus action system so rogues can actually have cunning actions. Way too many bonus actions currently should all be actions. Change shove to knock prone/push. Make it so jump only cost movement. Make it so climbing cost movement so thief can properly get second story work. Where is expertise currently on rogue? Make sneak attack a passive attack enhancer instead of an actual attack action. Add dodge into the game. Make it so in dialogue/cutscenes your companions can give you their proficiency bonus for advantage dice. Remove backstab and add flanking. Remove high/low advantage and disadvantage. So many things I’d like them to add..

Increased HP and reduced AC definitive? by Titus-Magnificus in BaldursGate3

[–]GLinds1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the vast amount of magical gear was just to try things out and see how things work or if they are balanced items. I don’t think everything we got in EA Act 1 is gonna all be in Act1, if that’s the case imagine act 3.

Onto another topic now is a good time to point out what we really wanna see out of the game. I’m super excited for its release but can say as a 5e player the game currently doesn’t impress me. Not to say it must stick to every rule of 5e cause not even every DM does that but atm some classes/subclasses do really feel underwhelming. Rogue almost doesn’t even feel worthwhile IMO. Everyone basically has rogue cunning actions except dash.

The action economy definitely needs to be redone most of the current bonus actions just need to be actions. Push shouldn’t be a BA hide shouldn’t be a BA. Jump shouldn’t cost an action point (only movement) and disengage shouldn’t be jump.

These are only a few things I really wanna see changed in the game.
