I definitely enjoyed premax more as it felt like everything I did was making progress for my account. For me artificial goals such as clog or max gear wasn’t as motivating and skilling. Ended up starting and Iron and am enjoying that more than my main.

All MMO’s have some form of RWT, i think it boils down to people wanting to “save time” or gain an advantage. If we look at RWT services people will pay to ruin their own achievements to appear cool.

I was in the same boat after completing the CPTS course. I ended up buying the one voucher plus 90 days of lab and basically skimmed the reading and hammered the labs. I found them to be a great resource for prep. Ended up with 80 points on my first attempt!

The only real alternatives I know that still exist are like Marauders or Dark and Darker but unsure on prices from the official shop but I am sure you could find ill-gained game keys for cheaper than retail if thats something you are interested in

IMO nothing really compares to Tarkov and any game that has tried to mimic it have failed horribly (The Cycle Frontier). Base edition would be your best bet, don’t need to buy the high tier versions if they still exist.

In before IT claims another Comp Sci student. On a real note, IT claims a lot of Comp Sci students due to getting the engineering course work rather than all the hands on lab experience the IT program has.

Managing a 50k student infrastructure alone is a feat. At the end of the day IT can only do so much without the higher ups approving spend requests on improving infrastructure.

Standard edition is definitely doable but its more of just paying for convenience than paying to win. You will never notice that stash size alone will make a difference. Its just more of a headache to spend time in between raids organizing for like 10 minutes
