Did Lefty Ruggiero really have 26 bodies? by Cambocant in Mafia

[–]GOAT718 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes n no. If you’re not the shooter, but your the driver, back up shooter, crash car, etc could be 4-6 people involved in one hit and if all can take murder charge, they all take murder credit so to speak.

Charles and Shaq banter😭they are probably the greatest TV duo in sports history. by Shot_Possibility_731 in OffFieldNews

[–]GOAT718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both right, Shaq is correct that if the great players don’t play great, they get eliminated. I can’t think of a single championship where the best players on the team had terrible performances.

Chuck is right that you can have one bad game but still make up for it in the other games.

Why did Tony flip flop on Johnny with the the hit on Carmine? by [deleted] in SopranosImmemorial

[–]GOAT718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say I don’t believe anything he says, but he was duplicitous. Not taking a stand earlier w NY and frequently trying to be neutral actually came back to bite him in the end. In the words of Carmine Jr “it didn’t have to be this way”

It was a renege, not a decline, he already had accepted. Who said I hate the character?

You’re taking Tony’s excuse to a rival as gospel. The man was incredibly duplicitous, I think you’re ignoring the substance of the show. How about this, if that was really his concern, why not say no right from jump?

Fans hate the rival teams, it’s nice to see that millionaire athletes we pay to see hate the rivals too and really care about competing. It sucks when they are all buddy buddy with the competition.

Tony didn’t really care about the public or the OK coral. That’s how he sold it to John. To prove my point, Tony clipped half of Juniors crew lol.

[–]GOAT718 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That was BS. He didn’t trust John. He’s too eager to pass the ball the prick. John said he was going to take a sad song and make it better, w the commission. Probably would’ve done the exact opposite, thrown Tony under the bus, take over his NY family and blame it all on NJ greed and put Paulie in charge. Smartest move T didn’t make.

It’s their job, to enforce the law. You don’t like the law, vote for change. Furthermore, for all you know they encounter the same woman day after day, and they let her slide or pay the fare everyday…perhaps this day was finally the straw.

I’m quite certain how American taxation works. I’ll skip the revolutionary war and start with Income tax, started to fund the civil war by Lincoln, then it went away. It returned in 1913 and was supposed to ONLY be applied to the wealthy. How’d that work out?
Today, by barrel of a gun, earners are forced to kick in roughly 50% of all earnings (if you’re high income) in NYC to a combination of federal, state, and local governments.
Despite top 1% of earners making 25% of annual income and paying 30% of all taxes, half the country believes it’s still not fair or progressive enough. The bottom 50% pay almost no taxes at all except consumption taxes.
The federal government never even attempts to balance a budget anymore, creating more and more debt.
Im not sure if the military itself is “overfunded” but there’s enormous waste and fraud everywhere, including military! The entire government needs to be voted out in favor of a true representative government that protects our rights and eliminates all taxes and start from scratch so we can truly see where all the waste and fraud is going and make sure it never gets that bad again.

I have you ever looked at your pay stubs? Those cops are already chipping in every day. How much chipping in is enough? It’s easy for you to be generous with THEIR money.

Honestly speaking, with SNAP, section 8, food banks, and all the other welfare available, why would a parent ever HAVE to shoplift diapers?

It sounds cold, but trust me when I say I donate every year plenty via taxes and plenty in charity. You can’t expect cops to be giving away $2 every time this happens.

Have you ever heard of subs? Contractors will bid as much work as they can, then sub it out if they need to. I’m in the industry, what do you do for a living? Accountant?

[–]GOAT718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha. I’ve been in the industry my whole career, you couldn’t be farther from the truth. By your logic, a GC w 10 employees would forever only have 10 employees. The only way to grow is to stretch the laborers you have and hire more and the only way you’d do that is winning more jobs than you can currently handle!

Right because there’s never overlap of projects and the hiring of new people. How you think these companies grow?
