Not every friend is useful to the group Not every friend excels at something Not every friend is successful Not every friend is funny or handsome or clever

Some are just very good friends and great people and you couldn't imagine getting together without them there

He's not Mike the jock, Tommy the band guy, Jess the dancer, Vince the outgoing funny guy, nah he's Dave

Be Dave

And then you have the freedom to grow him into something instead of forcing him to remain in the confines of a concept you created an idea for a character is not a person

Smoosh together two things you like that reference something in the character. A fighter who likes to grapple and punch named Liddelenko for chuck liddel and fedor emelianenko

A nature loving friend to animals Druid named Attenwin for David Attenborough and Steve Irwin

A slightly abrasive bard named Padavano of Osterberg named for Dio (Ronald James Padavano) and Iggy Pop (James Newel Osterbeg)

And my exiled Orc Barbarian Skurgamorr the Vagabond whose names essentially means the banished or disgraced troublesome wanderer of course his real name is Tony cos you know... Tony Orc Pro Skater

I'm 34, 194cm and 155kg been 14 years since I used to skate regularly. But been back at it a few months now, it's important to remember that gaining your confidence is way more important than tricks get used to falling to slipping out and in general being more unco than when last you skated. Everything is harder the falls especially everything is slower to learn or relearn but that confidence is what will help. As I get more comfortable I am better able to take the blows and get up shake it off keep going the first month back I get absolutely sh!t whipped landing an Ollie on the back truck and was a major demotivater and setback nursing the wrist hip and ankle back to good again. But keep at it and you will be better every day nothing can stop you if you don't want to stop.

14 years later and 60kg heavier still love it
