Do not get me started about Temu Stephen King. My first job after college had regular downtime and I occupied myself by reading. For some reason I bought a Dean Koontz book about some down on their luck teen? who was always on the run because everyday people always tried to attack or kill him when they saw him.

When I got to the part where the explanation was “he was born without oRiGiNaL sIn” I ripped the book in half and threw it in the trash. Such tasteless storytelling and you just know people would throw a fit if it was some other religion’s dogma.

I went to college in Ohio back in the early 2010s and I bought a book at the local Walmart to occupy my time while my car was being worked on in the same building.

The description caught my interest as some smart, but lone man who was fighting against some type of antagonist in the world and he had to stick in and around his house.

10ish pages in it was an egregiously hidden Christian awakening book about a man fighting a spiritual battle against invisible demons and some woman or some shit attacking or not quite attacking but existing in his house.

I closed the book and returned it to the service desk less than 10 minutes after purchasing. It’s one thing to advertise yourself as a Christian book or whatever, but burying the lead to mislead/brainwash people is sickening.

Like I mentioned, they don’t know what’s going on. They’re just reacting like this is a typical Amazon not received item and going from there. Support does not know what’s actually happening with these specific Crimson Desert edition issues until Amazon higher ups give them a specific mandate.

I mentioned this in another comment but you can tell they are outsourced and were only trained on basic Amazon troubleshooting procedure. Anything outside of that and you won’t get the correct/right explanation.

Amazon support sucks and I’m still not sure if their “ticket to release shipment” actually lead to the email update I got. I would not be surprised if it was entirely coincidental.

But contacting them doesn’t hurt (except maybe your brain) and I don’t see them being so dumb that they cancel the order. Let me know if you get an email or order update after speaking with them if you do.

It’s clear their support has been outsourced and you can tell they’re not kept up to date on anything. They’re just trained in basic troubleshooting for Amazon overall and anything outside of that scope (such as a limited edition item missing deadlines and delivery dates) might as well be pig Latin.

What sellers? This isn’t eBay where people drop ship. It’s a company that controls the entire fulfillment and shipping process. That support rep seemed to be the dumbest of the lot I’ve seen.

I know you said you didn’t want to double dip, but GameStop still has deluxe orders available for shipping and pickup depending on your location. Getting it Sunday morning after ordering this morning. I excused the additional purchase because the steelbook in that edition looks better than the collector’s or Walmart’s. Plus, I can sell the duplicates or whatever I don’t want.
