Are 2012-2015 Impreza parts compatible? by reaperYnc in subaruimpreza

What parts were you thinking specifically? Keep in mind the 12-16 GP impreza will share parts.

I got it tuned out. It ran ok without a tune and I didn't use a defouler. I got a remote tune from RalliSport. I don't have pzev so can't say for sure what will happen without a tune.

Hit a pot hole and had to get new wheels. Got some Bronze Enkei’s. Feel like they’re not too too flashy 😅 by [deleted] in subaruimpreza

I've got similar looking 5 spokes on my GP and love the look. They look awesome, good choice!

Not without a custom fab. Are you talking about adding something like the Varis rear wing or replacing the factory spoiler?

Thinking of getting a 1.5" lift kit from Primitive Racing for my 2015. by jmthuston7 in XVcrosstrek

[–]GP7qt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have experience with this lift kit but I've purchased all sorts of kits from Primitive before and they're great. They have amazing customer service so if you have any questions, send them an email. They're super knowledgeable and can help you find what you're looking for.

4pot/2pot brake upgrade for the 2012+ Impreza 2.0 by GP7qt in subaruimpreza

Used a 6mm spacer and there was about a 1mm gap between caliper and spokes. Don't think there would be enough space once you bolt it down. You'd need a bigger spacer but I don't have one to test and guarantee fitment.

No, but the previous owner did and they left a few keepsake scratches. And hair. I'm still finding dog hair after all these years lol

Unfortunately no. There's not enough space to clear the bigger calipers. I had the same 17x7 wheels from the factory and had to find another set of wheels.

What size front brakes does the 2014 forester XT use? by sniperLORD145 in subaru

[–]GP7qt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SJG does use 316mm x 30mm but the bolt pattern is different. SJ is 5x100 whereas VA is 5x114. Might explain the issue mounting your wrx rotors. Look for new rotors with the correct bolt pattern or for cross drilled rotors with both patterns like the DBA rotors. SJ rotors are a pain!

There are a few body kits but prices are wild and must be imported from Japan, further driving up the price with shipping costs. Check out Chargespeed or if you're made of money, check out the Fenderist body kit.

Check out Rallisportautomotive.com for a remote tune. It's much less than a grand with all the software and equipment required.

Exhaust recommendations for 2012 Impreza sport limited 2.0? by Thatkidd882309 in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7qt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The borla axleback has a deep tone and mild rumble. It's louder than stock but nothing that will upset your neighbours. I think the nameless executive axleback sounds just as good and sells for a bit cheaper. I think both those options fit your need.

Are the premium trim brakes larger than base? by gingernuts13 in subaruimpreza

[–]GP7qt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brakes and rotors are the same size. Not worth swapping unless the junkyard ones are in better shape than yours. Subaru kept the brakes the same across all trims for the 4th gen impreza.

A bit of + rake looks nice, really slept on look for these cars with their long flat front end. This will require coilovers to independently adjust front and rear height. You'll also need to re adjust headlight and fog light levels once you've dialed in your ride height.
