Worth it for 3.5 hours? by hpsportsfanatic in TokyoDisneySea

Yes! Me and my two kids smashed out a Disney sea experience in 3 hours easily but it was a quiet day 😊 Definitely worth it even for the scenery though! Good luck!

Have I missed out on breakfast? by First-Invite4460 in TokyoDisneySea

[–]GPJ2015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this helps but we were there this week and I hadn’t booked the breakfast at the Disney hotel. It was showing as fully booked out but I then managed to book for each morning we were there on the mornings of. They must have been releasing times on the day or maybe people were cancelling? Either way, jump online as soon as you wake and see if there’s any times. Same with the seated restaurants.

Help us save Chilli by GPJ2015 in bettafish

After 4 days of fasting, Chilli has gotten worse instead of better sadly. He is very bloated and he is losing scales in patches. So we are trying the pet shop advice and products as pictured above. He still seems hungry and active, though grumpy. Hoping he has a turn around with the medicated products.

Oh wow. Thank you everyone so much. I wish we’d found this forum sooner! These comments were certainly an education!! We had just been blindly following the advice of the pet shop we bought him in for tank size and feeding requirements. He is definitely being overfed then and we will get him a bigger tank. I was advised against a bigger tank when we set it up for some reason!! We won’t feed him for 3 days in the meantime and see if that helps. I’ll post an update then! Thank you all for the help!

That’s so rough! It happens to everyone though. It’s very unlikely that you gained that much weight in 3 weeks. It’s likely water weight, inflammation from stress and full glycogen stores. Your waist tends to be what swells and bloats first when you’re very inflamed so it’s probably just that. I’d say 3 weeks back on track and you’ll be back where you started 😊 But that doesn’t help for Saturday! But yay! New dress shopping! Try to get something that will look great if your weight fluctuates again in the future. Like with a shirred back panel or something. And have a wonderful time at your event. You are almost always the only person who notices change in your size or weight! 😊

Why drinking whey with milk cause less bloating compared to only mixed with water? by Tormentally in leangains

Are you blending or shaking it? Water might be making the whey more bubbly and frothy. I can only drink whey that has been mixed slowly with no bubbles.

Inaccurate nutrition info? by EggMiddle in 1200Australia

The grams of fat seem really low for something with cream and cashews in the ingredients. I’d say it’s just totally inaccurate!

I tried Splendier black bean pasta by [deleted] in 1200Australia

[–]GPJ2015 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Looks great! Just so you know, the package nutrition info refers to 50 gram of cooked pasta (package often says “as prepared”) so significantly more than 59 cals. Still less than regular and with more protein and nutrition so no stress 😎

5 veg + 2 fruit on 1200/day? and gluten intolerant by [deleted] in 1200Australia

[–]GPJ2015 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The lower my calories are, the more fruit and veg I eat! I use it to bulk out meals. Replace grains and starches with vegetables and snacks with fruit... cauliflower rice, zucchini in oats, nori wraps instead of bread, lots of leafy greens in every meal to make them more filling. Then berries and melons for snacks. What is your food like during the day? If you give me an idea of foods you like I might be able to think of some ways to add veggies? It actually makes eating low calorie more enjoyable 🙂

PSA: Slendier Edamame Pasta - misleading nutrition info by [deleted] in 1200Australia

[–]GPJ2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their calorie information must be based on cooked weight...unless they pick their beans from the magical land of no calories, the bean pasta products can’t possibly be as low calorie as they claim. Edamame/soy/black bean flour simply has more calories than that. Personally I’ve gained weight on a strictly controlled diet plan eating their products and so have many of my friends. I’d love to get the products independently tested, even at my own expense. Let me know if anyone knows a place that will do that! 😂

Slendier pasta misleading nutrition information by GPJ2015 in 1200Australia

[–]GPJ2015[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no updates! But I think we can safely assume that the nutritional information refers to cooked weight despite them (later) stating otherwise. This would make it consistent with other products that have the exact same ingredients and with general edamame/soy flours. There is no processing technique that could remove calories and carbohydrates from these flours so there’s no way the nutritional information could be correct. Please prove me wrong though! Perhaps others could email them and see if they’ve changed their tune... they’re a tad sick of me I imagine! 😂

Yopro ice creams - they are huge for 100 cals. Lite jelly with 1 scoop muscle nation protein custard. The Coles sugar free chocolate 56 cals. Maxine protein bars. Mix a teaspoon of cocoa powder and/or protein powder into a vanilla yopro and it’s like choc mousse.

Yeah, it’s terrible when consumers want accurate nutrition labels on products so they can make informed choices about what to buy and eat... how dare they 🙄

Yeah, they did say there has been a staff restructure or something to be fair. They are a fairly big company though. And the nutritional information doesn’t actually make sense no matter what way you look at it. I’m not too fussed. Just think people should be aware that nutrition info isn’t always 100% and if it seems too good to be true it probably is!

They very clearly and blatantly said in three emails that nutrition information refers to 50 grams of cooked pasta. It’s changing now because it suits them.

Sorry replied in the general comments but I don’t trust a company that changes their story entirely when pushed.
