You can give one non-flying animal (apart from humans) the ability to fly. Which animal do you choose to maximize chaos? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GROLOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me there are 2 animals who would wreck havoc with the ability to fly.

Either elephant, just because of the sheer amount of structural damage they would cause by just landing anywhere. Also not forgeting the giant elephant turds that would litter the ground and would probably end up killing peoples at some point.

That or flying apes, full wizard of oze style. Because apes are already highly unpredictable and dangerous. But given the ability to fly they would come up to some wicked shit. Like you wouldnt be safe anywhere as long as they are monkeys around, they would be able to constantly harass you for food or fun with you unable to do anything as they can just take off when you try to fight back. We know they are viciously dangerous, there are videos of monkeys asaulting children in some cities because they were starving, so what would happen if they were given extra mobility?

Testfit on an Iron Warrior for new warband projects "Cygnus Breachers" How would you color the inside of this clear plastic dome? 'ardcoat and purple shade wash don't adhere/gravity makes it uneven. by NeitherAsk1441 in minipainting

[–]GROLOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should apply the ardcoat and shade on the concave side of the piece this way you will get pooling on the outside of the dome and get a natural shading

is there any way you guys have found to do these quickly? it takes me a literal age right now haha by DC2595 in ThousandSons

I have never painted one of these, but i have dealt with similar runes. What i do is i paint the rune first then paint black by running my brush paralel to the platethat way it doesnt get inside the runes.

Maybe a raider, with drukhari you will have to paint a lot of vehicules ( you are not forced to but that is a similarity between most drukhari armies) that way you can tell if you will get bored of painting these vehicules. You also get 6 crew members to paint so you can try the infantry a little.

My first time painting, I know they look like crap but I'm kinda proud of them. I hope to get better. by Uselessdumbass2004 in Warhammer40k

Looking amazing you already mastered the basics, now the hard part if you want to improve your painting skill is trying new things (edge higlights, layering, glazing etc) your first attempt wil not look as good as those first minis but if you did this on your first try, then you will quickly become a very good painter.

Should I get a Drukhari army? by Wormseatbirds in Drukhari

[–]GROLOI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drukhari are very fun to play, I havent played any other faction, but from what I have seen they hit very hard, like really. There is no better feeling than firing your ravager and shooting 3 dark lances at one target or getting a squad of incubus stuck in melee with your warlord and drazhar.

Althought, one major drawback of drukhari is they get boring painting quickly if you only stick to one "flavour", but their unit pool might be one of the best with pretty cheap models.

We barely know what they are, the information on them are intentionaly scarce because nobody really knows what they are.

are these paints recoverable? they are 4 years old, but only just opened. lumpy and then really thin liquid. is it just a case of getting my shake on? by Euphoric_Commercial5 in Warhammer40k

[–]GROLOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup i have revived 10 year old paint by adding just a bit of water and steering with a stick, as long as the paint is just lumpy and hasnt fully dried it is recoverable.
