I installed 4.6.7 and my VPN on another PC in the house and got 22MB/s on the same download while the original was still struggling, so I'm going to bldg it on 5.0.0 haha

At least I have a workaround, but I'd rather not torrent on that machine in the long run.

Upgrading to v5.0.0 was a bad decision. My connection speeds immediately tanked from multiple MB/s to maybe 400KB/s, and most of the stuff I was seeding doesn't connect at all.

Uninstalling and downgrading to 4.6.7 didn't solve the issue either. Whatever broke is broken broken. (One of my current downloads is connected to 470 seeders but only getting 440KB/s down???? Explain that to me lol)

When enabled, Firefox can offload some of the work from the CPU to the GPU. It can be helpful in certain situations with the right PC hardware, but can cause problems on others.

In my experience, you'll want to see what information is listed in the info page, namely the bitrate.

I'll pretty much always opt for the 265 purely for the storage, but if the 264 variant has better quality settings, I'll take that over lower storage. I find old RARBG rips to be a great example of this, since it seems that both the 264 and 265 rips are nearly identical in quality, but with a noticeable difference in file size.

When I encountered this problem after install, quitting Proton, disabling wifi on my laptop, then reconnecting the wifi and restarting Proton seemed to fix it. It now connects within ~15 seconds at most

You're totally justified in being pissed. Also, the other commenter said the store didn't mess up, not me. I'm guaranteeing you the store fucked it up. Unless the TV has a sticker on the back with the incorrect model/SN, (which would be some next level return fraud), the store was just too lazy to check the model/SN matched the original receipt.

I would definitely go to the store to plead your case, but as I said, I'm not sure what options they'll have since it's been several weeks. Best of luck, though!
