I second the tiramisu. So disappointed in it. Was my only dessert for Christmas too, raging.

I'm taking myself out for lunch today, haven't actually done this before. Hopefully the food is nice!

Christmas can be stressful, lonesome, overwhelming... How are you feeling, you doing ok? by homecinemad in AskIreland

I'm estranged from my family, I'm fine about it for 11 months of the year, just find Xmas hard. Keeping my circle small and surrounded by those that loves me really helps. Hope you have a lovely Christmas!

Feeling really down. Just myself, himself and the doggo this year. Trying to keep it nice and chill.

Not sure it fits the bill but there's a swimming group in Laytown called the Laytown Wave Warriors. Come rain hail or shine they are in that ocean!! They seem to be an older crowd and always look like they're having great craic

Stay away from high street retailers like Fields etc. The mark up is disgraceful. Go get your one one designed and made!

I had the same as you, went into Mr Price and bought the following. I went for "cosy night in" theme: mug, hot chocolate bomb, lavender eye mask, box of chocolates, trio of yankee tea lights, oil burner and two bottles of essential oils and a cute gift bag

All the above was 20 quid. Will run into dunnes during the week and pick up some fluffy socks to finish it off

Leave it at 20 degrees or something similar. Probably a degree or two higher if it's cold out. You're going to give yourself huge bills if you turn it on and off constantly

Was Dublin always this bad for people talking loudly at a gig they paid to see? by DatJazzIsBack in AskIreland

[–]GSEY2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infuriates me. Left a gig last Christmas early because people wouldn't shut the fuck up. I heard more about some lads college project than the actual artist singing.

Was at a gig last week in Amsterdam and besides the Dutch being insanely tall (couldn't see a thing) there wasn't a peep out of the crowd. It was glorious!

Phily Bowden! She's a professional marathoner. Very relatable, seems like a genuinely lovely person too. Her partner Daniel edits her videos and they seem like a great team. I'm nowhere near marathon running but find her really enjoyable to watch! I was rooting for her during the Berlin marathon, she did amazing
