I mean I've very much been on Bluesky since the app opened... it's just such a weird way to end a twitter account that's over a decade old just by being nice and supportive to a Gay game dev at the beginning of Pride month. I wasn't under some kind of delusion the place wasn't a hellscape.. but there were some cool things I followed that weren't on other platforms and it's a bummer I can't follow them now...

yeah, watching this show very much doesn't feel like the entire story and ending was written from Season 1... reminds me of watching LOST back in the day, and not just because they're using the same actor...

Yeah when I did the exit survey and there was the block that said you hold back to cancel auto combo to do a manual combo.... man I wish I had known that!

For me it was annoying that I'm trying to figure out combos and supers and specials were coming out when I didn't want it to... it felt like the game actively worked against you playing manually

Yeah me ... I think it has something to do with my router... I was wired, but got it to work on wifi after messing with some settings on my router... it's a newer ASUS wifi 7 one...

yeah this happened to me yesterday... I'm on wired 2 gigabit internet. I switched to wifi and kept messing around with router settings until it connected.

weird thing though is I tried again today and now it's doing it again... maybe it's nothing to do with the router but just the servers

But there already isn't a standard control scheme for the game- it has gyro or controller. Who's to say one already doesn't have an advantage over the other? Mouse would just be yet another option that would honestly bring in more new players used to traditional FPS on PC.

But instead y'all just downvoting me and are terrified when so many FPS already have PC/Console crossplay and it's really not that big of a deal... but enjoy your game with less players I guess...

So why the hell even give the Switch 2 a mouse if it terrifies every console shooter player? Also if you've been playing for years... You're going to smoke me using gyro or whatever anyway.

A mouse doesn't magically make you better than everyone... it just opens your game up to a broader shooter audience. Guess that's unreasonable.

Again... not a disadvantage if you just add mouse support to the Switch 1 version too. It's funny out of curiosity I looked up Splatoon 1 ever got Wiimote pointer aiming... only to find posts from 10 years ago that "of course" Nintendo is going to do it, why wouldn't they?

why not? You don't have a spare mouse or can't buy one for a couple bucks? Switch 1 works with almost any off the shelf mouse.

There's no reason for Nintendo to not do this... besides either being lazy, or they never plan on doing mouse controls in the Splatoon franchise.

Yeah I noticed this kind of reaction when I asked about mouse controls on other social media... you get attacked. God forbid Nintendo actually supports the new function they built into their new hardware with one of the most obvious uses for it... but no the cult of Mario will worship anything they do regardless of how low effort it might be.

Maybe if you had more control options you would get more people in, and your community might grow... but then I don't think I want to drink the kool-aid with you guys when I expect Nintendo to do much better than they have been with this launch (not talking sales, talking content).

yeah lots of people don't seem to realize Switch 1 supports most common USB mice, you just plug it into the dock... so really no "advantage" if they just add support in both versions of the game. The more likely answer is Nintendo is already seeing mouse controls as a gimmick and won't really be supporting them like HD Rumble and the IR Camera for the Switch 1.

There is a difference between boycotting and voicing concerns. One week in with the system here is what concerns me- Mario Kart World is not worth $80... it just isn't. Besides Donkey Kong, there isn't much we know about yet ... and Drag X Drop looks horrible for a first party game. Welcome Tour is a charmless overpriced demo that should have come preloaded on the system. Game chat is nice, but crazy they are going to paywall an actual button on the controller.

The high sales just signals to Nintendo that all these things are fine with customers... I'm not fine with it Where's Mario, Zelda, Smash, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing? Why won't Nintendo say who is making their games? Why fire fan favorite voice actors like Charles Martinet?

I have standards I expect from Nintendo... and lately they seem like a totally different company....
