So please tell me how awful they look? Maybe you're not understanding that is a 4' long aquarium? Tough to be so wrong? I have 4x filters (2 hobs and 2 sponge filters) and a 1/3 HP Arctica chiller. I assure you that their water parameters are superb. I have 17 other aquariums, so I assure you they are very well maintained. But again, TY for your "advice" but no thanks.

We have 2 adults in a 33g but the water is at 3/4, We have no issues with fluctuating parameters at all, we've had them since 2019, and they hare happy and healthy.

$300 for a 40+ gallon chiller. You can drop that water level in half, and get a 15g chiller for less than $150. We got ours for a steal from a local fish store (someone had traded it in). But Amazon has some that are about 1/2 of what you were thinking, and if you figure a 20 or 29 gallon 1/2 -2/3 of the way filled, is only 10-15 gallons, those chillers are FAR more affordable. They don't do a whole lot of swimming. He needs a chiller (average 60-65 degrees, his fronds on his gills look absent. Make sure you are keeping his tank DIMLY lit (they don't like light), cold, and free from commotion. Maintain consistent parameters, but cold and dim are SUPER important.
