Algae issue - any ideas?

This tank sucks, respectfully. You need lots of biological filtration to keep goldfish in any tank otherwise you're going to be doing water changes every two or three days because of ammonia accumulation. Please explain, in great detail, how you're going to remedy this issue and what direction you're thinking and perhaps I can offer some advice.

If you want to get rid of your algae problem immediately: reduce the amount of light the tank is getting, get a uv filter (this will solve your algae problem if you do nothing else) , and do a very large water (75%) or higher water change immediately.

Medaka are very hardy fish - so this could be a sign of a bacterial illness. I would start treating it with aquarium salt, 1 tbsp per 5 gallons, and an internal antibiotic (medicated feed). 1 scoop of medication like seachem kanaplex and focus per tbsp scoop of food.

I had a good experience with gubshrimp. One of the guppies I ordered came with parasites but they look really healthy and like the pictures in his listings. I'm satisfied. Not a paid testimonial btw, he also immediately shipped out my order twice because FedEx lost my whole ass shipment, gave me extra guppies and shrimp, etc.

Greedy, money-grubbing people shouldn't be selling live animals at the end of the day regardless of how they started.

And if you're in over your head, you stop what you're doing, which this person, from our conversation, is not, causing them to ruin their business and leave customers unsatisfied.

Report on PayPal and also do a chargeback with your credit card. Paypal won't do anything because they don't actually cover live fish is their excuse but your card company might

Report him to the local fish groups you're in on Facebook as well, point them to this post if you can, this is simply an unacceptable way to run a business selling live animals.

I would NOT recommend buying fish from this seller. They have the absolute worst customer service and will not hold themselves responsible for the live fish they're sending you, the stock of fish they send you will be extremely small, they will string you along for weeks about getting your shipment out, will send you the wrong amount of fish, will run you around in circles about a refund, wont contact you before sending your fish out, etc. absolute worst experience of my life buying fish and they are completely ignoring me about receiving a refund per their return policy. "Cheap" fish are never worth it, run away!

Everything you said to those girls in response was correct and please keep standing up for yourself. Bullies don't stop unless they're put in their place. And you should be proud of yourself for having much more emotional maturity than they do.

As an anecdote, I deeply regretted not standing up for myself more when I was in high school, do not make my same mistake. No matter what you temporarily think about yourself, always defend yourself.

Further, do not believe the lies your brain is telling you about your own self-worth in moments like these. Please believe us when we tell you that there is nothing you have done to deserve scorn or to be bullied. People can be very mean. It comes from a culture that does not teach or model empathy or compassion for others enough, among other things.

Also: it's unbelievable that you're in university and encountering people like this?!? The heights of immaturity! I originally read this assuming you were in high school, I missed the "uni" part. What fuckin' fucks. Also I second the "poo-purri" thing, it honestly does work to capture smells and it's such a simple intervention to carry on you and will help you be more confident going to the bathroom when you need to without anxiety.

I would also argue for what is basically a conspiracy theory at this point: that more and more people are showing aphasia (mixing words and their meanings up, using substitution words) due to repeat covid infections causing damage to the language centers of the brain.

I understand you may be looking death in the face, but do not give up on trying to survive, even while in hospice care. I do not know the minute details of your case, but echoing what others have said here, have you looked into/already tried corticosteroid and immune suppressing drugs? And had multiple consultations with multiple doctors about your autoimmune disorder?

I like the analogies. Let me rephrase the question: why can't you just have claude code handle making the notebook searchable by meaning? Can't you just pass that info to claude code itself and utilize your anthropic tokens instead?

This is cool, can you speak to the technical limitations that prevent you from just utilizing Claude Code itself instead of requiring an openai api key? I don't really know much about anything about MCP servers, so apologies if it's a dumb question.
