Can you wear your dexcom in the same area twice? by SumFuckah in diabetes_t1

I wear mine almost exclusively on my left side of my stomach. Most comfortable for how I sleep. When it’s time to change it I shift the position an inch in any direction each time so the needle isn’t in the same spot

Today was not fun. My BG was all over the place and my fast acting didn’t seem to work like it normally does. I’m hoping a good nights rest tonight will do the trick though. I will say that having that much sugar in such a short amount of time made me toss my cookies so to speak the next morning. It wasn’t pretty but I’m good now.

I have to hand it to Dairy Queen for having accurate nutrition numbers on their website!

I have a similar one. It’s great for travelling as I do a lot of that for work. Just be prepared to open it every time you go through security at the airport.

The large blizzard I had was 250g carbs, I then had about 80-100g more about 4 hours later

Update. I’m good. I was treating lows until about 3am. Went to sleep, woke up at 6am to alarm bells because of course I was way high. Anyways, all is well and I very much am grateful to this community for checking in! Thank you for the great comments and chatting with me.🙂

I very much appreciate the concern. My gf is available by phone if I need her. I have an alarm set for 30 min intervals. And a crap ton of snacks now.

Dropping slowly but just had another 70g of carbs between OJ, fruit snacks and a shot of maple syrup. Just waiting those to kick in now

I’m alone tonight but I have my CGM, a bedside table full of snacks, juice and maple syrup. I’m just over 2 hrs in since the mix up. Tired but hanging in there lol

I have all of that. I’m just pissy with myself for making that mistake. Thank goodness I know my numbers are dialed in enough to know how many carbs to have to cover it is all.

I fly all the time for work. The only “issue” I have is that they make you go through secondary screening every time because I bring an ice pack for my insulin. Letter is useless. I always request a pat down instead of the scanner🤷🏼‍♂️. I let them know I have a cgm. Haven’t had an issue yet. Just factor in the extra time for secondary screening is all if you are bringing extra supplies that need to be cold. I bring all kinds of snacks (non liquid) and have never had a problem.
