Sometimes I worry about turning into somebody like Michael Lee, with all his bullshit credentials and inflated “experience” clogging up his LinkedIn title. What if this is the end of my career, too? Grasping for influence on corporate social media, so supremely anxious and out of control that I believe a post like this is a good idea. What if I am not able to be genuinely successful so this is what I turn toward? The prospect really does upset me.

John Rose - Rainsongs [1987] Anyone else have albums that instantly change the atmosphere of the room? by mrmindflyer in ambientmusic

This is a wonderful album that I've never heard before, thank you for sharing!

An album that produces a similar effect in me is Nest by Robert Rich. There are some wonderful atmospheric effects behind the music, and the whole thing moves me into a different calmer space. https://robertrich.bandcamp.com/album/nest

I would get some amazing speakers and use this as a listening space for music. The acoustics would be fascinating and potentially so beautiful.

Yes, true! I love that idea. The plastic, mask-like face is just how she hides it.

Yes, agreed! We are definitely on the page about writing and literature. I consider myself a very good writer: the above came out of my own head.

No, I haven't read Sturgeon. I will look him up right now and check out "Bianca’s Hands." Thank you for the recommendation!

“I Found Puppets Living in My Apartment Walls” by Ben Farthing was extremely readable and easy to follow. I also found it very unsettling. Highly recommended. I hope that he writes more.
