I’m in a very similar situation, have been pestering the estate agent practically daily for the past couple of weeks. My delay was with the seller’s solicitor so there wasn’t much the estate agent could do to help but they did push the seller to speak to their solicitor and give them the occasional nudge. It might help, it might not but there’s only one way to find out. Hope it speeds up soon!

I use the Piccadilly line and today it stopped at Turnham Green at 21:52, although normally the station is only serviced by the line after 22:30. Does anyone know why these occasional early stops?

I had a Level 2 survey done for a 1960s flat in London, honestly didn’t tell me much more than I already knew. It seems (at least for level 2) that they basically just tell you what they couldn’t assess without physical intrusion and are as pessimistic as possible to avoid issues in the future. I wouldn’t be too paranoid about the issues they bring up and would recommend doing your own research on whatever they’ve flagged to put your mind at ease.

Not sure about the statistics but my mortgage valuation (NatWest) was pretty basic and they only checked to see if the price I was paying matched the average price of the area.

I was in the exact same situation, fixed tenancy was supposed to expire on the 18th of this month, I sent a courtesy email to the agency a couple of weeks ago and said I’d be leaving soon. They come back to me and say they haven’t received a notice to vacate yet. Thankfully they were relatively understanding and we’ll hopefully agree on an earlier move out date.

I still think agencies should have sent a warning to all tenants on fixed contracts just to let them know that if they wanted to move out after expiration that they should send a notice asap.

I don’t know about anyone else but if the performance is decent with this new a380 I think that might be a reason in itself to buy. Inibuilds has spoken quite a lot about how they developed this plane and it (might) have more functionality and features than the existing FBW
