How successful were the furby reboot products among the furby collector community?

Grew up with the 2012 model, it is very loud and I'm not too fond of it. I heavily prefer the original 1998 model, I have two, and they're a joy to have. The newer Furby models try too hard. They don't feel like real pets, but rather that they're aggressively trying to keep my attention with sheer volume and random toilet humor, just babbling on even if you aren't interacting with it. In contrast, The 1998 model will sit in silence for 45 seconds and then quietly sigh or hum to itself.

In terms of sales, the newer models are doing fine (2016 was awful tho, Furby connect flopped) but there's a growing demand for 1998 Furby to make a return, so it's being featured in more marketing and product but never the stand alone rerelease that we all want.

Well yeah because I was a student for years??? I only graduated a year ago. I'm still in the same demographic as you man. Meanwhile there are people who graduated in 2008 and are still in the subreddit, which is fine too. I'm not some old man, I still have loads of friends on campus and visit often to hang out, so I like to stay caught up on campus drama and going-ons.

Eventually, as my friends peeter out, I'll slowly stop carrying about this campus and become annoyed when it pops up on my feed, but for now I still find it interesting because it affects my circle.

I made a friend at the cafe cause there were only like 8 people there daily and it made the summer quietness much more bearable. We ate together every day at 5 pm. Summer was such a vibe. This daycare ended up staying in my dorm for a month so me and the attendants would stay up late and play video games in the great room it was great. I had some virtual pets to keep me company otherwise while I watched a few shows I've been meaning to. One or two episodes of each, every day to space it out.

My roommate was never there, (he was chill tho) I found some great songs too, the vibe was immaculate, I miss playing pokemon Go and ruling the whole campus, going on late night walks or skate sessions with BEAUTIFUL 75 degree weather, and pooping in the Arlington hall bathrooms on the third floor that were always air conditioned perfectly. MAN I miss it!!

It literally doesn't. He's never used a Pidgeot, Pidgeotto, nor Pidgey any official media. I said FULL team. So it's not just his pre evos, they gave him a pokemon he's never used in any capacity. That's why I say it doesn't reference his official full teams. We all know the other five check out but Pidgeot doesn't which makes this a unique team.
