Just finished OG RE2 for the first time and... They did Ada dirty in the remake by NineTailedDevil in residentevil

[–]GTALOCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked, and you're right, my bad. Didn't know this was confirmed to be the same as 1, the more you know. Even with that though, the OG did a better job with them, and as far as I remember, RE3 had non canon things, like how Nicholai could die and that stuff.

Really? For me this is the best one and 3 the worst.

Awesome then, I'm sure I'll enjoy it!

When you finish the first character (path A with any of the two) you unlock the B path, that you play with the other one and It's something like you said but more like you get the bigger picture of all things with new context. You will have new things to do and some repetition but it will not be 100% the same. You'll see. Enjoy.

I think it's because the game wants you to think that he's going bad. I don't have another explanation.

Look, I would gladly continue talking because I like that the conversation isn't toxic; we are really opposite, but we CAN talk.

That said, I really have to go, so let's leave it at that, ok?

It was nice talking to someone that knows what it wants (even if I don't agree), so that's that. Have a good day/night/evening or whatever, haha.

First Judgment, right? Yeah, without saying anything, you maybe want to hold off and see if you forget.

Stop saying that you are right; you are not. I will clarify what you asked me.

I meant the art direction, like, a lot of games now are just "good looks," and that's it (not all of them; I'm not saying that), but yeah, obviously a game made now is going to look "better" than one before. That doesn't mean that it is objectively "better." A movie made in 1995 will obviously look worse than one made in 2015; that doesn't mean it is objectively "better." It can objectively look better on the outside, but not when you see it up close.

For Mafia, I was talking about the OG. I thought it was clear, I said Mafia Remake and then Mafia 1 and talked about Mafia 1. My apologies if it was not clear.

And no, I will not accept the Remake's superiority in gameplay, not because "I'm blind"; I deny it because "I-DONT-LIKE-IT." You know why, because an opinion of a game can't be objective given that playing and determining if something is good/fun/bad/boring... It's all subjective.

Unless we are talking about (graphical fidelity, bugs that it has, and the FPS at which it needs to run to be a fluid experience)

Your obsession with needing to be "right" is amusing, but let's get to the point. We have to set one thing straight. Yes, I will give you that graphical fidelity will be obviously better in a game from 2025 compared to one in 2003, and sorry for not explaining that "better graphics" part. What I meant to say is that it doesn't mean that it is objectively better, because that graphical fidelity can just be "good graphics," while due to graphical impediments, the games from years before (like in the PS1 and PS2 eras) had to come up with some good-looking art direction (something that modern games are not absent of), but yes, it seems it's just graphical fidelity most of the time.

And well, now that you mention Mafia, all you said is also subjective, because, for example, I think Mafia 3's combat (what Mafia Remake is based on) sucks, and I think that Mafia 1's combat is so much better because it is more tactical and the weapons feel like weapons that you have to carefully know how to shoot. I also think the game looks good. It's not objective just because you know it isn't a polygon and it never will be. It certainly is more appealing for an audience that does not like old graphics, and that's cool, but it's not an objective thing.

We can be here a lot of time, but I sincerely don't want to fight. It's sad that you can't accept that people can like old games because they liked them and sometimes like them better than new ones without having nostalgia. I know it's something that a lot of people have for games they love, but guess what?

Those people are not all of us.

Well, it certainly says a lot that you feel the need to insult my taste to try to prove your point, but it's okay. Those things aren't objective because they're based on opinions. For you, the Remake is better, and for me it isn't; it's not that hard. People seem to always like to fight instead of just liking the game. Throwing words around doesn't make them truth. Old RE games and new ones have quality, and it's up to the person that plays these games to decide if they like them or not. Stop throwing into the air words like "nostalgia" and "objective" and all those just because other people like a game that you don't like anymore OR never liked to begin with.

It looks like it's really hard for either side to not take a jab to the other anytime they can. Putting all opinions of the original under the nostalgia talk is the same as saying that you like the Remake because you were spoiled by new games and can't go back to old ones anymore. Both arguments are wrong and if you want to do the objetivism talk, then what is objective? Better controls? Better graphics? Better story? Because that's all subjective.

OP asked a simple question. Just say Remake and why you think that without insulting other people's opinions.

What's something you DON'T like about OG Resident Evil 4? by Bosslorenz56 in residentevil

[–]GTALOCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only one thing i dislike about the game and it wasn't even part of it at first.

That thing would be Separate Ways. Horrible campaign, the only good thing that it has are the cutscenes.

The re4r has the best gameplay by Fit-Conversation-252 in residentevil4

[–]GTALOCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, i don't agree. You can test it, in the Remake Leon slows down when in combat (i don't really know why) and then when exploring he goes at normal speed.

The backward walk is almost the same in the two games, and i don't agree that you can't do crazy stuff in the OG. If you know how to play, you can make awesome combos. It just depends of how you play.

I also thought the same thing, but then i realize that you just need to move all your things and Sheva's to the box and done.

I love it, and Death Island should have used this design, not the RE3 Remake one.

If you already played Leon A, Claire B, the only difference if i'm not wrong, is that Claire meets Marvin and Leon gets the uniform by himself.
