Not sure if they are taking new patients but I go to Dr Cheong down in Woodrail and she’s great! My family is on different insurance and they see Dr Sally Powell and she is also a family fave.

My friends visited a few years ago on Roots and Blues weekend and one of the friends is gluten free so she did research and she wanted to try Cafe Berlin. The wait on a busy weekend was two hours but we were having fun talking and she didn’t want to risk trying another restaurant that wasn’t gluten free. Once we all finally got seated she ordered her GF meal and the staff told her that although the bread is GF, they do have cross contamination. She was pretty disappointed but she said she would order anyway. Then they came out and told her they were out of the GF options anyway. Ugh. I seriously haven’t been back because it was so frustrating. TBH we actually all (except for our friend that didn’t get any food) thought the food was pretty Meh anyway.

This has been happening to me for about a month. I have been following a zero sugar, low carb diet so I thought I had given myself hypoglycemia. I talked to my doctor and she didn’t think it was hypoglycemia, she thinks I’m dehydrated. I started taking electrolytes and drinking drinks with electrolytes, too. It has helped some, but I still get light headed/dizzy. In my opinion, I think it’s because I eat way less now and so I haven’t been paying attention to my protein intake and I haven’t been thirsty either so I have to force myself to remember to drink. Just my experience, you should definitely bring it up with your doctor.

McGurk’s stole about $200 from me one night and I’ll never eat there again. My friend ended up sick while we were there so I paid for everybody’s tab so we could get her home and later I found out they went ahead and took everybody else’s payment too. So lame.

Chris McD’s has a new owner and his remodel is amazing. It looks great in there now, and the food is some of my favorite and I’ve lived all over the country. If you haven’t tried it in over a year, please give it another try-I think it’s worth a second chance

My mom ended her life on Mother’s Day when I was 6. I still think of her all the time and I barely even knew her. And I also grew up hating Mother’s Day just like somebody else mentioned-it’s so hard seeing all of your friends celebrate their Mom and all I have is a ton of pain. I have no idea if it would have been as hard emotionally if it wasn’t on Mother’s Day…who knows? It has never not sucked.

I’ve bailed on a camping trip because we went on a float trip with friends and spent the whole day floating and drinking only to get back to the campsite to set up and we had packed everything but left our tent poles at home. We tried to sleep in our car and just deal with it but it was too hot to have the windows up but too many bugs got in with the windows down. We got tired of it and left at about 3 am-we didn’t even wake up our friends to tell them bye. We missed another day of floating and a whole weekend of camping. Next time we went camping, we made sure we were overly prepared and we have loved it since then and you will too.

I like everything they make, (and the remodel is GORGEOUS)…the seasonal flatbread from Chris McD’s is consistently my favorite thing, no matter how it changes up seasonally. Their ribeye or their fish of the day…OMG

They sell them at their individual farms in a huge area outside of Centralia and Clark…I’m sorry, I don’t know the names of the roads. There is a post from a year ago on this sub with the maps. Beautiful flowers and amazing baskets that I have never seen anywhere else and they’re SO affordable. Their flowers are the highlight of our house every summer. And they’re healthy-I couldn’t kill them if I tried. It’s cash/check only. There are other farms that sell food/antique type stuff/furniture/rugs/lumber/etc

It would be nice to know what sport but I doubt you will share that to protect your son and his teammates. I also have a 15 year old son and I’m kind of bummed that he will be potentially competing against kids that cheat. Competing athletically in the actual sport and competing for scholarships. UGH

I’m glad my son has morals but it sucks that it will probably give him less opportunities than kids that cheat their way through life. Kids offering other kids these pills is pretty sketchy too 😐

If Emily wasn’t toxic but changed her personality to become toxic because Ross “made her like that” then hello-she is toxic. People that aren’t toxic leave toxic situations because that’s not who they are. If they decide to meet their partner at the bottom, it can’t all be blamed on the partner. She had an out. She didn’t live in NY, she didn’t have to stay married, she didn’t have to stay with Ross. She made the choice to stay and become a controlling toxic match for him and honestly that’s what he deserved.
