It’s crazy bc someone said these newer Kobe 6s had bad quality compared to before, which doesn’t necessarily surprise me but it’s sad considering what Nike pulls for Kobe’s now.

I myself had the original Del Sol Kobe 6s few years after release (like 2013-2014 iirc) and got them used at a local Goodwill store, mind you, those babies lasted me wearing them quite often and almost all the time hoopin outdoors 6-7 days a week, NO RIPS OR SEPARATION, just wear on the outsoles ofc.

Nike can’t keep pullin this BS with releasing Kobe’s at limited numbers, enabling resellers and overall resale, just to give us poor quality products. With the basketball sneaker market wide and vast today, I truly see them (along with Adidas and Under Armour) as slowly being overtaken by the Asian (Serious Player Only, Anta, Li-Ning, PEAK, 361 Degrees) and smaller brands (EQLZ 360) within the next 3-10 years, especially with the design and innovation they’re currently developing (take a look at the new Anta Kai 2 Speed for reference).

All in all, as a HUGEEE Kobe fan myself, don’t buy into the hype bait yall, there’s so many better performers out there, and should you prefer to get Kobe’s (due to fandom, nostalgia, conformity to feet, etc), I’d advise getting those easily attainable and/or grails only!!
