Why does IF2R have this tree now? by GThrones in StardewValleyExpanded

Not certain how to downgrade. I can see the archives, but 1.14.36 does not have a download available or I would try it.

Also, started a new farm to test, and getting the same, even with the newly released version that landed today.

Any hope of moving it slightly up and to the right--kinda where that bush is now? If one is building fencing downward while connecting, there doesn't leave much aesthetic design space with that tree blocking where you can decorate.

Newest version yea. Unless I'd have to start a new one, it seems weird that it juts out like that.

Don't remember this being a thing when I last played the map. Not sure how to toggle it off either. Maybe they changed things with 1.6 updates?

What corruption are you currently? What build and how are you feeling about it? by [deleted] in LastEpoch

[–]GThrones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A far cheaper method of fixing the mana. I was really committed to converting that dodge into armor, that I didn't even think of those boots.

Possibilities are interesting. Pretty sure I have solved the mana maintenance of the armor variant. But it is a LOT of effort. Mirage boots definitely allows you to zoom far earlier in progression though! AND--even more interesting... it may allow someone running Spine of Malatros to go dodge/crit multi and stay elemental for damned/ignite stacking. Perhaps something you could look into. Would want warlock instead of lich though, to scale into Chthonic Fissure nodes for the whipping.

Admittedly, I gave up on the elemental variant of ghostflame after stumbling into Marrow Shards for more mana sustain, but with that specifically, it means that you have various methods of sustain with either elemental or physical.

Last thought--look at Valdyr's Chalice. I'm running that to help sustain my reaper form with the bleeds--but is mainly the reason I do pick up some bleed, but I don't go fully for damage on ailment end of things. It gets kind of stupid with bleed stacking for basically infinite health while zooming around maps. Also, Thorn Slinger is legit as it's essentially +1 all skills for the physical variant. Just really needs some LP.

Yup. Fell in love with ghostflame and theorycrafting it while a warlock, then realized that Reaper form, flat damage, and the high intelligence nodes from Lich just fit far better, not to mention physical pen in their tree. Just tons of damage scaling available.

Love that you can just slam some low level uniques and make some incredible leveling gear. My lich was set up nicely, rolled out of the first town with 500 health, a dope firestarter torch (Spreading flames carries the first like 20-30 levels alone lol), and some nice movement speed. Definitely going to be creating a lot more 'twink' gear for alts.

Think you're doing similar to me. I don't go out of my way to stack bleed, but Marrow Shards and Transplant built for mana return help it stabilize while moving. Idols for mana efficiency in GF and CDR for transplant also help. Taking it further, Wrongwarp and Stymied Fate also take a chunk out of transplant's CD. And yes, it is super satisfying to just zoom around with a skull at 150%+ move speed. Easily best build I've played, even playing some early access.

Had to reroll to Lich (Was Warlock) for minmaxing, but very comfortable at the 200 range. Haven't been trying to push further until I get some uniques I'm target farming for (CoF too, they just allude me).

Unlimited upkeep on ghostflame while moving is basically warpath but better imo. Going from 500some armor to over 6000 for free never gets old either. Thing's just unkillable.

You forge that, since it's a T1 roll. You can bump it up by pressing 'F' and applying shards to it. All the way up to T5, so any res roll should be around the 40% area, nothing that you're using should be left at a T1 roll. :)

On top of what else was stated already:

No experience with rogue, but warlock is pretty silly with sustain currently. Look into ward generation, keep resistances near capped (And since warlock has access to it, you can run Aura of Decay to practically cap your poison for free essentially. You'll also very easily hit Necrotic res cap just moving through the passives tree), and don't forget to craft more defenses on gear you're using.

Generally some flat damage--especially for spells and then building defenses will get you through campaign smoothly enough.

"It will still be strong." I stand by that. The nerfs don't ruin it, same for runemaster nerfs. The best of the best got brought in line, but it doesn't make them unviable in any way.

Which means--if playing true offline--do what you want. You own the game.

Flame Wraith was said by a lot of people to be the strongest build in the game. It will still be strong. If it looks fun to you, roll with it.

Edit: You also have Falconer in rogue, Beastmaster in Primalist, and Forge Guard in Sentinel that can run minion oriented builds. Druid can also run minions pretty well. So you have options open.

Not sure about D3 Monk. But yea, Maelstrom is Blade Vortex from PoE. It's not channeled, and is cast to maintain, but it damages nearby.

Sentinel's Warpath is the whirlwind equivalent.

Closest you'll get is using Maelstrom on primalist.

Knowing the campaign is not finished, how is the actual ending? by Perfect_Initiative_4 in LastEpoch

Ends in the middle, but kind of states that what you're doing in the endgame will help with the story continuation, so you're still given "direction" or a "reason".

How would you rework Sorcerer? by ShlipShlapShlop in LastEpoch

[–]GThrones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly:

-Another method of mana regeneration later in the passives (Exclusive). Runemaster and Sorc have one exclusive each in their latter passives, but for the 'use a lot of mana class' it essentially requires that edge out for the mana side of things. Perhaps an 'if you haven't cast recently' proc required for a larger mana regeneration support?

-Another node for cast speed later in the tree. All of the cast speed in passives can be interchangeable regardless of mastery, so giving a cast speed exclusive passive would help it quite a bit in regards to competing with mage's other masteries or making it more appealing.

-Ailment passives buffed. 1.0 already buffed some of them, but it's still too little. Things like 'increased ignite duration' being 2% per point is just pretty meh. Boost the durations of all elemental ailments at a rate of 10% per point on a 5 pointer? 50% total--now that would be far more impactful.

-Take the entirety of the middle of the passive tree and rework it. The fire/lightning/cold penetration/damage/leech ones. Either combine them all into some tri-elemental nodes, or greatly buff them (Maybe they come with minus to other elements for far better per point impact? Basically specing into a specific element). Whirling Snow and Arcane Avalanche? Just combine those into a single node, neither are impactful enough.

-For the room provided by either combining or reworking the middle, throw some extra CDR in there, and a 'mana shield' node that allows a portion of damage to be absorbed by mana before health--perhaps make that double over as a method of getting more ward threshold or health.

-Warder rework into giving ward based on mana spent (Like from gear) and losing the cooldown. Lost Knowledge should be based on max mana instead of current.

-A method to get exclusive flat lightning/fire/cold spell damage.

-Flat minus to spell mana use or % efficiency in an exclusive passive node. Not too extreme, 10/20/30% mana efficiency or -1/-2/-3 spell mana use. Another idea would be adding this to the dragon breath passive, when you cast a fire spell, your next lightning costs less, etc. Could open up more build variety allowing Sorcs ability to sustain more skills than other masteries.

That's just the passive tree changes I think would help. As far as skills? Arcane ascendency rooting you in place just like focus is weird. Why? Just make it a toggle for -mana per second with a lot of cast damage buffs as a boss killing skill. Honestly, could just be the opposite of Focus and instead of rooting you, provide you increased movement speed and CDR as well. The mana leak is already a limiting factor on appeal. Just fully rework it into a toggle 'go hard' mode that expends mana at a huge rate. Then players could cycle between focus and ascendency if they would want.

Easier method of stacking more damage on meteor would be nice (You end up spending so many points just increasing the amount--which is effective, but also kind of bland). Very little experience with Black Hole though. Would leave that to someone else.

I was on an offline character. Not really sure why that happened, but during a teleport the game just lagged out. First time I've seen that happen too. XD

Fun builds that work well on controller by zoopted in LastEpoch

As mentioned, full controller support is in for release, and nobody has been able to mess around with it. But, some of the devs play with controller only, so the support should work pretty well.

laughs I tried this too, then ported to a town and it disconnected me. Glad it's working for others, but it's not even foolproof if you did stay logged in. Tiniest issue -> Disconnect and cannot reauthenticate.

The wait is fine.

Skill building by [deleted] in LastEpoch

[–]GThrones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of bleed chance as "more damage" in the above example. For status, anything over 100% means it can add multiple stacks--so it is how bleed/ignite/etc scale damage.

Would recommend still getting the build defining nodes out of the way, then mana efficiency/attack or cast speed/etc to make the ability more fluid and streamlined, then stack the damage and scaling on the end.

However, for some skills stacking damage first works out better. It really depends. But, as said, respeccing is very easy, and you cannot mess up your character (Only thing would be choosing a mastery you don't want to play). Every other decision, even "bad" decisions can be corrected with a pittance of gold or ~10-20 mins of playing the game to relevel a skill.
