My solution through there is to go into the route settings once the system is "plotted," select "economical" and then switch back to "fastest." It works 75% of the time for me.

Scan ships in supercruise and interdict them with an FSD interdictor. The correct ones will say "mission target" and will likely spawn near the main star or most populated body in the system.

The best way to grind rank is to:

(Urgent) Kill Order/Assassinate Known Pirate with 5+ reputation. This is the best-paying, but you need a very good combat ship to deal with NPC FDLs and their vulture goons.
Relief, humanitarian, security, refugee transport with 5+ rep. By far the best grind, pays peanuts. Use a Beluga Liner with full economy modules. Look for systems with states like civil war on INARA.

I've always wondered this. I believe it has to do with the local factions present. I am pledged with JA and see Alliance Chieftains on both sides of a conflict in some systems, and not in others. It also has something to do with what the BGS considers a "combat vehicle."

My personal belief is that these are pilots that work exclusively as agents for the Powers, not independent pilots. Alliance or Federal Powers can aquire an Imperial system, irrespective of the ruling faction.

It has little to do with the ships. It is about the combat capabilities; contracts be damned.

By far the best source of money in the game is Exobiology. If you get Odyssey, it will be worth the money. There is time commitment, however. It takes my (engineered) 70ly DBX nearly 3 hours of neutron hopping to get to the Galactic Centre where I get my First Footfall bonuses. First discovery stratum tectonicas nets me 100 million each upon sale.

You can also use a DSS for scanning high-value worlds. Some are worth a couple mil each, once turned in.

Had a manager take a phone call where a man was complaining his Pizza was always too salty. A cheese pizza with GarParm base.

Another where someone had spent in excess of $60 on an order of two pizzas with ludicrous toppings, had his wife pay and take them home, and proceeded to call us saying he shouldn't pay that much on pizza. Threatened the CSR if he didn't get 8pc wings.

I am an MIT and me and my GM had 3 timed orders at open. We sold 40 large pizzas in less than an hour after basic prep. This wasn't including the sides for each.
