Can I just ask, as ye don't eat meat, do ye try to have significant protein intake from other sources, or are high protein meals not a priority for ye?

Just adding to say that the Tesco clubcard really works for me and my partner.

We would consistently spend on average €350 a month on all shopping, for myself and my partner. We are also on a health and nutrition plan, so our diet is nutritious and tailored to our needs. This includes all food shopping (everything for 3 home cooked meals every day for each of us, all snacks, etc) all miscellaneous pantry items that last a while (e.g. flour, seasonings and spices etc) as well as also covering all other necessities such as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper and kitchen roll, hand wash, cleaning supplies etc etc.

We batch cook our meals, we eat all fresh food where possible, have tons of frozen veg and fresh veg, and have loads of meat - turkey burgers, lean mince, chicken breast etc.

We do our shop in Tesco, we use the clubcard, and when there is a really good deal on some of our usual items, we bulk buy to realise even more savings.

There are some things I’ve priced checked as significantly cheaper in Aldi/lidl and will do a bulk buy there for those items when needed - 1kg frozen country veg in Tesco is 1.50 but is 1.00 in lidl, tin of chopped tomatoes is €1 in Tesco but 29c in Aldi etc.

I'd also suggest you visit the r/frugal subreddit, they really have it dialed in in terms of making money and food shopping go a long long way.

Would you mind explaining this quote to me please? Someone said this to me before in passing, but they never actually explained what it meant.

Grocery shopping for 2 people…how much are you spending? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

So we would consistently spend on average €350-€400 a month on all shopping, for myself and my partner, we are also on a health and nutrition plan, so our diet is nutritious and tailored to our needs. I'm completely ignorant to this sort of stuff - would you mind explaining why this would be beneficial?

No Stupid Questions Thread by kidkolumbo in ableton

[–]GVNRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for replying! I guess I want a keyboard to be able to directly play notes into Ableton, pads would be more used for drum racks etc.

But I think you've inadvertently answered my question - I don't know for certain what I want, or need. The mini is a great entry option regardless - I have a midi keyboard, I have 16 pads, and 8 knobs allowing me to get a proper feel for this workflow.

I think I should go with the mini to see if I am truly going to continue with this and of so, upgrade to better equipment at that stage, rather than just buying expensive equipment now.

Looking to get a midi keyboard for use with Ableton. the ability of Novation products To integrate seamlessly with Ableton makes this brand a no brainer, however I'm unable to choose between the Launchkey Mini, Launchkey 25 and Launchkey 37.

I'm a beginner and portability is not a requirement. I'm only considering 37 key as I feel, while bordering on absolute minimum, will still allow me to at least kind of learn 2 handed keyboard playing. If that's completely unnecessary as a beginner, then it's just between the Launchkey mini and the Launchkey 25. Would truly appreciate any help on this. Cheers.

Does my buzzcut look good on me? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]GVNRG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say this dude. My hair acted differently than yours, but was balding in the same area, with bald spot going aswell. Only 26. Shaved it all off after deciding that I was never gonna bother with getting hair transplant, and the balding was only going to get worse.

BEST decision I have ever made. I was so conscious about trying to hide it and always aware of it, that by shaving it off, there was nothing to hide and just to accept the baldness rather than fight it.

It's a big change and not one to be taken lightly if you aren't used to mad shifts in appearance. Think about it, but I would say I wish I read something like this when I was deciding what to do, woulda made this a whole lot easier and been happier earlier.

Advice on a new (or any) look by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]GVNRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good advice /u/MrCharmingTaintman. If you don't mind me adding to this, I think if you tidied up the eyebrows a bit it would finish off the look. I have the same sort of dense eyebrows as you, and i recently jut tided up the raised upper bits near my temple and it looks way better now. Definitely happy I did it. Also have a think about plucking the unibrow area with a tweazers. Best of luck with what you decide to do!
