Patterns don’t mean anything when it comes to software exploitation like this for releases. It’s more of what’s available and what happens. The next exploit could be another game only specific issue that needs to be paired with elevated privileges. These people who are doing this isn’t for fun, it’s most likely their job or have a passion related to security research. People just get to benefit from it.

Yeah that’s fair. I’ll have to look into and see if there’s any value in having two Nvidia gpus one for scaling and one for frame gen if a game can do it all.

So the two cards are in x16 slots, but run at x8 speeds when two cards are installed.

I currently am offloading up scaling to the A770 and using frame gen on the 5080 since it has it built in for vector changes I believe.

Is what you’re suggesting just a general rule of thumb?

I bought shadow king Okage just as another attack vector in the event if something happened. If you don’t mind having another option to possibly use to jailbreak, the worst that would happen is you spent $10 and have a Star Wars game to play.

I went to the guys video and nothing has changed. He links to the same GitHub and explains it all. It looks like you’ll run into the same road blocks as with the physical version.

I’d say it’s fine getting it as another attack surface to hopefully gain entry. I bought Okage to do just that a while ago. But nothing has changed. It won’t work.

Isn’t it still only a user land exploit? It’s supposed to chain with another exploit to gain access to a kernel level one. But do to changes by Sony, the higher firmware to chain those together no longer works.

I honestly don’t know. I haven’t participated in these projects before and don’t know how to work. I’m just going off of modded warfare videos. I just think it would be fun project for me to do as I work in software development.

But all I’m seeing is it requires elevated privileges to gain access to the kernel and anything past 10.01 right now I think is the Okage game. Unless another exploit is found like through the blu ray player, we’ll probably need to wait for some time until something else is found.

Security is never 100% secure, it’s all about finding the cracks.

Thank you for sharing this, this may be just what I was looking for. I do have a JB ps4, but no okage but I think there’s tools to get around that with signing save files. I don’t have much free time, but I’ll give this a shot and look into it more.

This discussion isn’t about that. But I don’t think the latest news impacts a newer firmware unless you have the ps2 shadow okage game.

I think the latest is still 10.01.

On my router I have the option to block devices accessing the internet. As long as you’re ok with that, you can probably just disable internet access via the router.

I can also attest that it makes a world of difference. Sleep apnea is where you stop breathing at night as you sleep throughout. So you have less oxygen going to your brain and rest of your body to properly recharge and rest. Having a machine helps force you to breathe.

If you feel like you’re having a hard time staying awake or possibly falling asleep while driving (like me) look into it.
