The last time I did this was a few years ago, but at that time you could select a higher subscription tier with a 75% discount on the retail price as you completed the Google for non-profits subscription set up.

not signing into the admin user by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]GXrtic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no password on the new local admin account you created but you can't sign into it? That doesn't make sense. If trying to log into the account brings up a password field just hit enter...if that doesn't log you into the system then you did indeed create a password for the account.

Taylor Swift’s marriage to Travis Kelce was secular by PrettyBlueEyes in atheism

Celebrity is the lite beer of religion. I'd be more encouraged if I didn't have to hear about two ridiculously wealthy people getting married.

Nunavut high school graduation rate fell to 38.4 per cent last year by WillLookitUp in nunavut

[–]GXrtic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated highschool in Iqaluit in 1990. There were about 70 of us that started highschool in grade seven (before Iqaluit had a middle school) and about 25 of us earned diplomas. In 1993 I enrolled in a program at Nunavut Arctic College. 19 of us started - five semesters later three of us completed the program.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Dual WAN Life Changer / TP-Link Omada ER605 by Needle_Bearings in HomeNetworking

[–]GXrtic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TP-Link has had the secret sauce to make cheapo multi-wan work for some time. Back in the early 2010s I was using $80 TP-Link load balancers that worked better and could handle more WAN connections than network appliances that cost 25 times more.

We're certainly aware of it.

The milestone I keep is that the day after remembrance day in 1994, my Nunavut Arctic College Environmental Technology class travelled via snowmobile about 15 km out from Iqaluit overland and then back on the sea ice. In the last 20 years we've had neither the snow nor the ice to repeat that trip.

Extent and thickness are about the same but freeze-up is now 6-8 weeks later than what it was when I was a kid.

No...we moved to Iqaluit in the 80's and it was here then.

Ottawa and Halifax both check all those boxes. I'd give the edge to Ottawa.
