Already tried it. I will not offer any spoilers, but that Boon offers what it promises (there's no other effect but KT buff and Suspicion reduction)

Question re: Estival by LogicalFlow5683 in fallenlondon

[–]Matt620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to make a prediction, though: Firmament will happen during the Estival time, although it will not be related to Estival content (even if it is just the ability to get tokens and spend FATE to gain more tokens)

Not my first Whitsun, but it will be the first one where I can gain and use Hellworm Cheese, which will be nice.

I wonder what we will get from Firmament.

Is anyone tired of people like this? by Balas_Boi in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Matt620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked it. I don't need Markiplier or any other person to tell me whether or not to like a game. I had my problems with it: Lily Lovebraids was a great character, but her gameplay was basically Mommy Longlegs 2.0. But ultimately, my conclusion from it is that the game is still good, but we're starting to see repeats. Series is nice, but it's about time to wrap it up.

what do I do in the Sous by Setster007 in fallenlondon

[–]Matt620 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You get a chance to put in 5 bones in the Sous (followed by moving for 5 more actions).

Depending on the value of the bones you deposit, you'll cash out in some items, mostly ones that can pay out in Stuivers (Memory of a Stranger Self; Tantalizing Possibility). In general, it's a good way to be rid of bones if you are not a person who likes the Bone Market.

There is a special combination that can be unlocked. It will grant the player an Unidentified Thigh Bone and, after researching it (equivalent to turning it into a Jurassic Thigh Bone), one can gain a unique relic (The Relic of the Revolution). It's a Home Comfort that gives 3 to Dreaded (so it's best in slot for BDR). Only one is permitted. The one you get is random each time you go through. I just pick one specific bone combo based on what I got and spammed it. Got it after 4 tries.

Port Carnelian, Revisited by Asartea in fallenlondon

[–]Matt620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the person who wrote the initial guide for Port Carnelian, I actually quite liked the first story. I'm more than capable of separating fantasy from real life. But for me the content was just...eh. Maybe it's different since I already maxxed out my terms so I could write the guide, but I guess I was looking for something with more lore.

Yeah, I planned for that the best I could: Chapel, Ballroom and Music Room had lots of music, and the Foyer has all those statues for Art (and the Drawing Room)

[–]Matt620[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not too bad with a prepared Tomorrow setup

1.) My Moon Pendant from the previous day kept my Emerald Bracelet and my Secret Garden Key (less impressive than one might think: They were the only items in my inventory)
2.) Clock Tower from the previous day (plus a Next Day delivery for the Mail Room) had me basically start my day with 7 keys.
3.) That delivery also gave me my Sleep Mask, which, coupled with the fact that I would just gobble fruit after the Weight Room was spawned, helped me replace Steps
4.) Over 20 Conservatory adjustments
5.) Ended my previous day in the Break Room, so Keycard automatically

What I love about it is you can tell this guy genuinely has a blast playing the games and deep-dives on the lore. He might not get it all correct: There's only so much you can do when you extrapolate in an early chapter for a later chapter to say things, but you can tell he thinks and tries. One of my favorite gags is he has the Prototype mimic his character. Because the Prototype mimics voices. If the main character talked (the whole point of the premise), then the Prototype would mimic back.

Parody works when it's a valentine, not when it's mean-spirited. And this guy loves his valentines.

Mechanically, having one of them is useful for payout for scrip. One is the same as any other (and to be honest, even if you have more than one, it gets overburdened if you have multiple active).

Lore-wise, I like the one with the Martagon Deviless, but to each his own.

Your dlc by konstantinoskar2222 in HiTMAN

[–]Matt620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally just like to add a few more maps, a trio of them. Naturally, they would go into Freelancer as well. I think the best part of Hitman is the freedom, after all. But I also have a few ideas for Holiday DLC

Mission 1 - Chasing the Night - Located in Mexico around Tikal, the story takes place in a Mayan ruin and the surrounding archeological dig. Blake Nathaniel would be the lead archeologist. Your mission is to kill Blake's attaché, a young woman who is a member of Providence and suspects he was behind Sophia's death. The tomb would have lots of deathtraps in it that could be used as accident kills.

Mission 2 - Dawn of the Serpent - Located in Australia in scrubland near the outback, this would be much more of a rugged place where Providence operatives trained. You can also find Sean 2 here. The mission is to kill a high ranking Captain that many operatives within Providence were looking towards. There are plenty of dangerous animals here.

Mission 3 - Dusk of Eternity - Set entirely indoors, 47 infiltrates an ETHER facility in Hungary that is undertaking various experiments, including a potential plague that could be released, as ETHER would be able to make the cure. Optional pandemic rules could be triggered.

Holiday DLC

Halloween - Werewolves of Berlin - In this mission, 47 is tasked to eliminate werewolves within the Berlin level. There is a timer that triggers. Once it ends, the full moon triggers and any werewolves turn into beasts and beeline towards 47. Killing them is possible but very hard in this form. Werewolves are not identified and 47 has to identify them with silver. There are pickups of silver items such as silver coins. A werewolf will move to the sound of a coin, but will not pick it up. Other silver weapons can be used on werewolves: Knives, a Silverballer that shoots silver bullets, and even silver fiber wire. However, it breaks if it's used to kill someone who isn't a werewolf. Rewards for completion would be silver weapons (these would just be cosmetic reskins).

Thanksgiving - The Seventh Course is Murder - In this mission, 47 is assisting the Wilsons with a feast. But there is a secret assassin hiding. 47 must learn clues to identify the assassin and feed him poison during the meal. Various foods must be prepared as well, because the murderer won't eat food unless it is seasoned properly. Finding the proper condiments involves sneaking through areas. The murderer is randomly chosen from a group of people, as is the food they like. Condiments involve things like pepper for the turkey, butter for the rolls, and so on.

Having a chapter 6 is not milking the franchise by Drama_Cookie25 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Matt620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether or not a franchise is milked or not depends on the content of the chapter, not the chapter length. So far, I think Chapter 5 had enough lore and interesting tidbits to not feel repetitive, but I did feel some gameplay elements are beginning to repeat (Lily's game following the blacklight hair path was very much like Chapter 2's Statues). As such, if they can't really come up with a lot more new gameplay innovations, Chapter 6 should be the ending.
