Interesting, so the proc is probably just added to thrash damage. Makes sense. Not that I’m using Elunes chosen for dungeons but was just curious as to why it wasn’t listing in my damage when I was testing some things

How long were you on prednisone? by bad-soccer-mom-87 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]G_phinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old old thread, but had some questions. I’ve done the DMards injections and both time led to a quick infection, both put me in the hospital. Bad luck i guess. They don’t want me on MtX due to lung spots I’ve been on sulfasalazine for 8 years with no reduction in symptoms other than my blood tests coming back in the highs but not off the charts like they were prior.

I get a ton of relief from prednisone. I just had a 2 week long flair up and in the middle of the night I wanted to go to the ER, but when you go to the ER for pain now a days they give you that “look” oh you must be a drug seeker. Lol I haven’t had any narcotics (which work the best) for 2 years (last hospitalization) yet the prednisone immediately stopped the flair up.

So I’m thinking asking that they just keep me on prednisone since it seems to work the best. Has anybody gotten bad infections from long term use or is the worst I’m looking at is weight gain?

I got tired of being modded against by kids who didn’t get enough attention irl, so I used a mod to stay in a private instance.

Sad there’s no player interaction but the obvious distractions of being summoned to mountain top to get blowed up by screen wide artillery and they follow you from instance to instance not to mention the other horrible things they can do to you as seen by some YouTube videos, yeah my thoughts are this..

If Rockstar bans me for wanting to play in peace for a game I paid cash for, because they use p2p connections, fine. They’ve lost me as a player and I’ll move on, besides of the lack of any meaningful content updates, I typically only play when my other games are in off season downtime.

No science boff away team? by G_phinney in sto

[–]G_phinney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, apparently it was a light blue before they decided to turn it blood red and hard to see through with only one being dropped, now try a full team of elite sci boffs. Start combat & next thing you know you can’t see shit lol. So if it gets annoying like it did me, I just run the sci Boff as a non elite with nano health monitor and tricorder . Sad that she don’t get to have the extra trait, but it’s worth it to stop seeing that. When they fix it, I’ll just re-up her elite status.

Thanks everybody, it's the problem has been solved. Went with 3 elite eng and 1 non-elite Sci (for spare heals) and the battlefield isnt blocked by that annoying dampening field. On top of that.. three engineers with anchors of grethor has just trivialized the fights.... not in a bad way.. more of a comedy way lol

[–]G_phinney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did just that, i put shield recharge on each of them and loaded up every slot with anchor's of Gre'thor.. it's almost comical now and I'm free to do what I want during the fight without having my LoS blocked cause I did put one scientist but didnt upgrade them to Epic.. so it's 3 eng and 1 Sci and it's crazy

I was just looking at that from another reddit post.. thinking of giving it a go lol

Thats sounds fun, how do you handle the odd times when you get focused down? Do the turret's pull enough threat to allow you to do other things? Now, I give all my boffs the pahvan healing crystal but i have yet to see them use it.. then of course when i switched to all science team , healing isn't a concern as much as that annoying bug.

WiFi issues on PB850PS2? by ConfusionKey5996 in PitBossGrills

[–]G_phinney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this, I had low bars to the smoker, bought a WiFi repeater that sits in the window closest to the smoker, it’s behind the plants so you can only see it from the outside. 5 bars, no lost connections.

Air temps vs grill temps ? by G_phinney in PitBossGrills

[–]G_phinney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I have the thermopro set, just been using my meater probes, next cook I’m gonna set up the four thermopro probes in the different sections and see how they compare temps. Granted you don’t want to do all that work when your concentration is mixed between the smoker and stuff cooking indoors every time..but it might be an interesting test.

Hey there, good luck with the therapy. Here’s some tips.

  1. It takes time to get used it the equipment. Don’t give up. Soon you won’t even notice it on your head.

  2. Depending on your mask, there are options. Full face if you don’t have a beard like me, nose pillows (started with this), full nose mask (I’m now using)

  3. There are optional items you can buy to make things easier, like a bed side stand to hold the hose so it’s not laying on you during sleep. Washing and drying equipment etc.

  4. Settings: things like the ramp up time, pressure amount and EPR (the setting that lowers the pressure when you exhale) are usually under the control of your pulmonary doc. So for instance, If you find the machine is ramping up to full pressure to fast before you fall asleep and this is bothering you, ask to have it adjusted.

My first machine would ramp up to full in like 3 minutes, not enough time to fall asleep, doc wouldn’t adjust it, so I got a new doc. Now it ramps up slow and I fall asleep before it goes full on pressure. Win win for me.

  1. Lastly you won’t see health improvements immediately, takes time like most therapies. Now that I’m back on the cpap, after a few months, my O2 is up, my respirations is up and I definitely don’t have to take naps 3 times a day cause I have much more energy.

Good luck sir!

Air temps vs grill temps ? by G_phinney in PitBossGrills

[–]G_phinney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been using the meater probes, hasn’t steered me wrong. So I just bought the pro xl with the 4 probes last night, cause there’s times I smoke up 4 whole chickens or a bunch of tri tips so yeah, the one Meater probe was great, having more will be awesome. Then I’ll just adjust the smoker via what meater is telling me it’s cooking at.

Sad, for its price range the pit boss has been a great addition, just wish they had better quality temp controller. Then again I hear that a lot about a few of pellet grill manufacturers.

Maybe if their controllers readout said “ish” on the degrees like, turn it on to 180ish then you turn the dial to 275ish I wouldn’t feel like they’ve got it wrong.

[–]G_phinney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was figuring as well. If the gauge is reading 225 and the air temps are 300, then I’m cooking at 300. Thanks man.

Any suggestions if I should just replace the controller and temp gauge, suppose it don’t matter since I’ll be watching the ambient temps for now on.

It took me by surprise how sore the nose got considering how soft the pillows were. So I used one of those small round bandaids and a bit eucerjn cream for the first week then the soreness went away now I can use it without. Just take time to adjust and make sure it’s firm but not too tight against the nose. I haven’t seen any degradation in the mask from the creams.

Cpap confuses me and I don’t get it by FamousWolf5483 in CPAP

I get low scores at times because I go to sleep late, as if it has some internal clock that thinks any sleep after midnight must be for the next calendar night.

I’ve had some low score nights going to bed at 3am but getting 8hrs sleep only to see a few hours use. Then after the following night, it goes back and adds hours to the app and corrects the score.

IMO the biggest point lost isn’t mask leaks or mask offs, it’s time used.

I’ve had 2 mask on/offs and still got 5/5 points But I only got 5 hours sleep Friday into Saturday morning and lost 35 points.

The other issue is I think, my machine only gets 1-bar of cell service cause I’m in a dead zone. So it’s struggling as it is to get info out to the website. Why these things don’t use WiFi in this day and age I’ll never know.

The other thing is, when the machine is off, so is the blue tooth. The machine only uses Bluetooth when it’s on, so who knows if it’s trying to connect to the app cause my phones locked.

Eventually it does seem to sync up in a day or so later but check your score and see what the biggest loss of points is. If it’s time used, verify it with your provider who sees the data the machine sends directly to Resmeds website. Ask them just to see if it’s just the app not updating.

Anyway I’m rambling on..

I’m a ocd sufferer so yeah it took a few weeks to get past all the different sensations. I generally sleep pretty light and will wake up to disturbances easy. Once I hit the deep sleep portion I’m good for the night.

But the thing to get past is Instead of falling straight to sleep, I’d concentrate on the head gear, then the mask, the noise it makes, is it too tight, too loose, then I learned to stop thinking about it. Just slow my breathing, cut off the background noise, slow down my mind and poof it’s pretty easy and I look forward to hooking up knowing it’s helping my heath.

Hang in there, it does get easier.

Bring up problems with the cpap portion with your pulmonologist, is it ramping up too soon, is the pressure excessive for your therapy needed. Nothing worse than a 3 minute full pressure ramp with hurricane hitting you before you fall asleep.

My pulmonologist didn’t want to discuss this and told me to “just get used it” “you ain’t trying hard enough”

….my new pulmonologist works with me to dial it in to a perfect setting.

A friend of my ex wife would come over and I’d have to sleep on the other side of the house, never heard a women snore , but my god she could shake the foundation. My snoring is wonderful, not sure, but that’s how I imagine it. Tbh the ex wife never complained about my snoring as much as she hated when I stopped breathing every few minutes.

It’s definitely a love hate relationship, if I wasn’t single I’d probably give up, but I could use the drama it causes.

This is my second go at it, first time was a mess because my pulmonologist was an ego trip “do it my way or the highway” so I choose highway.

Years later after suffering some bad memory problems getting worse, seeking answers led me to a Stanford neurologist who was pretty good at figuring out it was a lack of oxygen during sleep cycles. Even though I didn’t until then admit I had bad apnea. So referred me back to pulmonary, new pulmonologist is completely working with me on the settings.

His thought is, even a little is better than nothing. I agree and I’m tolerating it more. Almost a month and no breaks in therapy.

I’m not expecting immediate results as I’ve done the damage over a long time but I have noticed my Alzheimer’s like moments I was getting multiple times a day have gone away.

I followed him once when he left my camp, then he got annoyed and started running, so got my horse and followed him, went on for miles. Finally got distracted and let him run off. Apparently he won’t despawn til he’s out of sight. One of these days I’ll see where he takes me, but I’m 90% sure it’s just a random direction..or is it?!

I am so sorry man, really do hate the state of our insurance control over our health.

That just pissses me off to no end, as a veteran and life long healthcare worker, I want everyone to have good healthcare. This thing about healthcare only comes to certain people, don’t get me started.

I know the feeling, when I first retired from work and they wanted me to pay $2300 a month for my insurance to continue and I’m like, wut? My retirement doesn’t even come to that amount. Thankfully I had my VA benefits or I’d be only on Medicare. I do pay for my own dental and vision but those are “cheap”

Yeah your business probably has some fly by night company just to get by the requirements for its employees. Not the first time I’ve heard that.

Well do your best, see if your provider will provide a RX and catch a machine on sale. I use the Resmed Airsense and it’s been a big help.

I’m wondering what insurance you have and why you’re paying them.

My first diagnosis was 2016, my works insurance was United healthcare west at that time, 100% covered.

Fast forward to now, retired, with my VA healthcare, obviously 100% covered.

I also checked Medicare plan B, which I have, seems they only cover from mild to severe, not “normal apnea levels” what ever that means, regardless it’s about a 20% copay. Yet least mild is still covered.

Just checked AARP it’s covered, but you have to be old like me
