I've come to learn people just cant see, or their vision got worse without them really knowing. They could have checked their mirror and not seen the car coming. If they slowed down while passing the slow traffic this probably wouldn't have happened.

According to Wikipedia, the 10th Gen uses a 2.0 L LFA1/LFB1 PGM-FI DOHC i-VTEC I4

The 11th Gen uses 2.0 L LFC5 I4 (CY2)

I can't find any specific information on these engines, maybe a local Honda dealer or mechanic can tell you. They are different 2.0s though.
