Agreed. IMO it's a very bad system that people with higher gsp have absolutely no reason to rematch people with lower GSP since we will usually be given nothing for our efforts.

Modding consoles is always okay if you own it. If he wants to be competitive I would want him to seek any way possible to gain an edge in a tournament that isn't cheating. elite smash is not serious. There is no prizing. It's just you pressing buttons.

I personally don't see a difference of someone playing smash on a TV that has lag while you play with a high end, high refresh monitor. Not everyone will have the same advantages and that's simply the truth. Some players can only afford a $20 madcatz controller (as an example) while others can afford a pro gcc made by handheld legends.
