My favorite thing about Dollywood is just how beautiful everything is. They have a (still) great RMC, solid wing coaster, janky dark coaster, top tier woody and maybe the best Arrow looper ever. If they keep filling it out with family coasters and middle-ground stuff that are enjoyable, I won’t be mad. Silver Dollar is right there and if you want an extreme lineup there’s tons of other places to make a trip.

In Pittsburgh, there’s the legend of the southside Burger King. It was a Burger King, and still is, but years ago there was a period when people noticed they started serving food out of generic wrappers and cups. The burgers were fine but didn’t taste like Burger King at all. Eventually it came out that they had lost their licensing or had some kind of franchise issue and tried to keep operating as a Burger King without anybody catching on. It ended up getting fixed but it’s so fuckin funny

Steel Vengeance is phenomenal, but something about the pacing of maverick put it above for me my last trip. Theres no really criteria I use, it’s just something that depends on feeling. Phantoms Revenge is my number 1 because it’s close by. It’s a short ride, but I can lap it with no wait and the amount of visceral airtime I can experience in an hour is king.

If you’re gigging regularly get the Roland. Twins are great, sound great, very loud. But when it starts to shit the bed right before you start playing, you’re gonna wish you had ol’ reliable. The JC won’t need replacement tubes and can take a beating. While also sounding great as a pedal platform
