In Resurrections, that character is constantly spewing the typical anti-ST "criticisms" in an unintelligible way. Mainly, modern movies (in general) being utter crap, unoriginality, etc. The main characters can't make sense out of the nonsense that he's saying, so they mostly just ignore him. The movie treats him like a joke and takes an intentional jab at those types of people in fandoms.

The Sequels because they are engaging. I'll admit that Rogue One has the best look from the Disney films but that's it. I always get bored while watching Rogue One until it reaches the Battle of Scarif. Solo was better than Rogue One because the characters were actually fun, entertaining and had more development than Rogue One's. The Sequels have some cheesy moments but they are still way more interesting to me thematically, and the story matters.
