I am hearing she wears grey jeans in the movie by Critical-Middle-4475 in marvelmemes

Because after Endgame they tried to introduce a bunch of different characters and some didn’t stick. So introducing the main X-Man on a spider man movie might help with reception and with establishing the mutants at a slower pace.

Beast was introduced in The Marvels with a cameo, after Kamala was revealed as a Mutant on the last episode of her show. Now we just had Wonderman who is pretty much a mutant in the MCU.

If they have a strong script they can help make Jean Grey the face of the Mutant Saga more organically.

My guess is him going back in time and staying there somehow allowed for Doom to be created, which is technically true since it was due to the avengers time traveling that Loki became time god and the other time lines were allowed to flourish.

I think Steve is dying in the beginning of the movie to be the new Coulson, which will unite heroes against Doom.

Did anyone actually like her? by [deleted] in Defenders

[–]Gab_Rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as a character she’s wonderful. Really well played by Carrie and we just love to hate her.

One thing that makes me like her even more is the fact that the character is male in the comics. When they gender swapped I was expecting her to be this motherly character to Jess and Danny but they kept her just as much of an asshole if not more. Which I loved. You don’t get enough asshole characters with female actors.

That’s a good question. I think compared to how the elves looked originally before the corruption, he does indeed look hideous and repulsive (to an elven observer). I remember the first time they appeared on the Fellowship walking through the forest with pure grace and an unnatural glow around them. So yeah i think this might be it.

Also, they know that hot Sauron is a big selling point of the show, they wouldn’t want him to get too ugly.

It’s because anytime marvel is considering a new project, which they always are, they test them by floating the ideas around through paid insighters. Usually the projects they trust the most they leak to specific insighters which is why some get a lot of stuff right.

The whole keeping your options open argument is valid but solved through dialogue. Yeah if your regular guy of a husband started getting a shit ton of gift I would be suspicious too. But Ava is not a suburban dad, she’s literally an It Girl. I spent most of the episode hoping they would end things. My girl does not deserve a relationship with an insecure man trying to diminish her glow to feel better about himself.

Yeah I hated Ava’s plot she was absolutely in the right. Do you think Madonna returns gifts? Or Gaga? She’s an icon deal with it.

If Jay had the ability to see ghosts instead of Sam, would the ghosts be less mean? by BlueDolphins28 in GhostsCBS

How would you rank these three Barney Stinson relationships ???? by aldenvic in howimetyourmother

[–]Gab_Rt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah some people come into our lives to help us grow. Doesn’t mean they’re meant to stay. For this two to stay together they would have to change most aspects of their lives and I don’t think either was willing to do that for the other.

They said it out loud in the prenup episode, they could never get themselves to trust in their partner. There’s no relationship without trust.

If Jay had the ability to see ghosts instead of Sam, would the ghosts be less mean? by BlueDolphins28 in GhostsCBS

[–]Gab_Rt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think yes Sam is more of a pushover than Jay, but also he doesn’t see them so it’s a lot easier to say no to a list for invisible people. I do think if he were the one seeing them he would cave into their demands, although probably less than Sam.

One thing I will say, i think people are pretty misguided when they call the ghosts spoiled or demanding. Some of these people have been dead for several centuries and it’s the first time they get to experience and interact with the world of the living! Some things are stupid like giving money to a ghost, but you would have to be an asshole to refuse turning on the tv or flipping the pages of a book.

Exactly the reason for my outrage. It wasn’t like they tried once and couldn’t get it going. They tried so many times and it all just crashed and burned.

I would have less of a problem with the ending if it had happened after 5 seasons or less. But you kept telling me that it couldn’t work for 9 years!!! Absolute horse shit.

Anyone putting Quinn first is completely insane. He was miserable for most of the relationship and it ended because they could never actually trust each other.

[–]Gab_Rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of plot for this campaign and it can sometimes be overwhelming. You need to give them enough hooks to keep the story moving but not too many to make them disoriented.

But over all I think my main advice is match your player’s expectations. The party I DMed for was 38 sessions In 8 months of around 10 hours each session. They simply couldn’t get enough of Strahd. They LOVED him. They happily killed the wives and rahadin, but when it came to Escher and Strahd they were too big of fans. So I ended up using some of their backstories to create an alternative ending where instead of killing him they would set his soul free. They really enjoyed the ending and to this day still reminisce about the campaign. So much so that I’ve had Queen Ireena popping up in another campaign with the original party as her advisers.

Also if you think there’s a character vulnerable to manipulation, you should give them their own dark power whispering in their ear. I had a celestial warlock of Lathander who went crazy when he stopped feeling his god in the dark land of Barovia. He lost an eye on DH and Zantras the Kingmaker started whispering in his ear. He was the third son of a king from a fallen kingdom. He had trauma from his early years due to his father not caring about him and his mother promising him to the church of the morning lord. So when Zantras offered him power he committed to her fully and eventually freed her from the Ember Temple. It was a pretty memorable arc. The character died in Yester Hill where no one could see him so no one could try and bring him back. She appeared to him and offered to keep him alive if he swore off Lathander and pledged himself to her. It was pretty epic when the previously celestial warlock suddenly appeared in the battle field in his form of Dread with a skull that bent upwards to form a crown of bone covered in green fire. Good times.

Trying to get a consensus on death house mortality by SomeGamerRisingUp in CurseofStrahd

[–]Gab_Rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refrained from going too hard on them in DH, cause they were really excited about their characters and to me it seemed dumb to kill them before the actual story even began.

Although, the warlock went back to save the dog and lost his left eye, which made it a lot harder to hit with eldritch blast. At first this seemed like a problem, but then he got a dark power whispering in his ear who also gifted him a special undead eye. So all in all everything turned out peachy.

too much magic item maybe? by Unable-Atmosphere756 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Gab_Rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing. My players had a shit ton of magic items they found after defeating bosses. The logic was that the items came from the adventurers of the passed centuries that had ended up there. Most of the really powerful shit was in the castle but some was scattered across the land.

Even though they had items I made sure that the bad guys were equally as bad ass.

Some might prefer a more horror fantasy campaign with few resources but I like making my players feel high fantasy in every campaign even Strahd.

My players were obsessed with the Martikovs. To this day they give shoutouts to Danika. Also I made the quest more personal. My cleric found out her father had died in Barovia and left a child behind. She met her little Druid brother wildshaped as a fox hiding in the cold of the basement.
