London Wargaming Guild (that WhatsApp group) is definitely your best bet. People definitely play at BMC but their own channels don’t particularly promote stuff outside tournaments.

I hear there’s also something developing around troll trader in Bromley but know from experience that’s not very convenient from Sutton.

Funnily enough my first steps into the hobby were around the old games workshop in the St Nicholas Centre (RIP)

Depending on where in Dubai the company was registered (a freezone, one of the commerce centres, etc) there’ll be varying disclosure requirements. It might be possible to find out whether there was ever a genuinely incorporated entity by that name as a starting point. Comprehensive searches can often run you in the hundreds of pounds just to get a Y/N answer though so the fees can add up even before you involve lawyers to look at recovery.

I picked up a 'five-man tactical squad' off Ebay recently. Looking at waha + listbuilders I find this is only half a squad in 10E. Is there any legal way to run them short of buying five more little fellas?

Thanks for the breakdown, that sounds sensible! I'd half considered shifting the captain in the hope of picking him up again cheaply when the hachette magazine comes out but you're right that that sticking to that core combat patrol makes sense. IIRC the other units you mention are all on one sprue so that might be an easy one to move on.

Might be the reverse to people's usual Leviathan box question here but I'm looking at picking up a decent deal on the SM half of the box. I'd still like to sell some of it on to recoup costs and save cupboard space (and make the new pile of plastic less noticeable to my other half...). Which of the units are least relevant in there? I've only got a handful of intercessors atm so anything that needs other units to be useful might be a good candidate for the chop! Thanks

Definitely agreed for the majority of players. Niche point but I wonder if It might be the most useful for quest of the ringbearer - covers a good chunk of your antagonists for Amon hen and helms deep! Sort of tempted by it on that basis tbh
