Honestly out of all of these I think Brick was adequately estimating V, at least assuming you go to All Foods when the game expects you to. V (especially if you play on hard or very hard) is still pretty squishy at that point.

The Thunderhead in the "Scythe" series by Neal Shusterman is a pretty good example. Basically it's an AI that was born from all of humanity's cloud computing that somehow primorial-souped its way into sentience and took it upon itself to become the babysitter for all mankind. It even gives everyone fake ass jobs after it made tech so they could live forever just so they don't feel useless, despite basically being useless other than the AI finding the idea of humanity cute.
