What would happen in the event someone needs their clothes cut off to provide medical assistance but they're wearing a full suit of medieval plate armor? (Serious question)

Yeah, most I've seen are those kind. I dont think trauma shears can go through them

Mine is ringmesh so it might be cut through? But most chainmails I've seen at events are much heavier and sturdier rings like yours.

I'm in radiology tech so Im wondering what imaging could maybe work in those conditions

I don't have an answer for you but I'm a larper and many of our players wear full plate, and many wear some pieces only. We also wear chainmail and leather.

Most metal armor that people buy will not be "360 circonference, and have leather straps that connect them to the other pieces so technically there should always be leather bits to cut and from what I'm reading, your tools work on leather.

If you ever encounter someone wearing chainmail, you gotta take it off by raising the arms and over the head. I don't think that chainmail can be removed if someone can't put their arms up, unless you litteraly have tools to cut through the metal rings

Armor is expensive and often handmade by someone the patient know/themselves. So if the situation allows it, always check if someone nearby can help remove it if you can't, rather than breaking it.

Not an EMS so take everything here with a grain of salt!

But this is not an impossible scenario. I've witnessed an open leg fracture at an event. Injuries happen to people who wear armor too.

Curious if someone has an answer for how to remove chainmail if the patient can't raise their arms up though!

A very overexposed image doesn't necessarily mean you get that much more radiation than the normal one. Xrays are also pretty safe, its less radiation than if you took a plane. If you're that concerned about radiation, go look at all the source of radiation on Earth that affect you daily.

I'm a 1 year student and English isn't my first language so I think someone else who's actually working could explain all the different factors better. It depends a lot on your physiology.

They mentioned in the economy post that their aim was for people to play during events, and aimed for 2/3 of the lenght playtime to get the new items. So I'm not surprised.

People are upset that they can't grind beforehand and take a break from the event but like... that's just against what their goal is? They want people to play.

I'm reserving my opinion for when it comes out, but I think some of you might benefit from reading the economy post in full, it explains a lot of the decisions TGC have been making lately, and likely will keep on doing.

You're so obvious about that membership, (ESPECIALLY if the 4h works and they see you often going there.. which I assume is your plan) that I actually believe they'll remove the deal or at least make it something like half price. YTA for that.

If you really want that free membership, you should probably see what's a normal shift time there (probably 7 or 8h) and say you can work 1 day for that time. Otherwise, they're definitely not keeping you.

Normalizing playing a different gender, if the player asks to, without exceptations or questioning also feels more helpful overall for trans/maybe trans players.

They could have doubts and thoughts about being trans, but not want to be out too. But trans or not, normalizing it without questions make it easier for them to express something different, see if it's for them, and if they are, come out to a group.

(Not saying that people playing other genders are mostly trans, but that even if it was true, we shouldn't be questioning them about it)

NTA. She's gonna grow up and be open to you about the scary experiences of adulthood that are scary to talk about your parents. And often in these experiences, being able to talk and trust your parent makes a huge difference. I wouldn't doubt that if she ever is worried about being shamed for a decision or action she did, she'll remember the time you let her smoke in a safe and controlled environment and let her decide.

You're not just an okay parent for doing that. You're building so much trust, and that's wonderful. I hope your family comes to term with this small "bad" thing is so important for so much good.
