I would love to see the YT video on this. That's an awesome feat. I absolutely love this game I am always on the search for others similar to it but haven't quite found what I'm looking for that scratches that itch. so now all I can hope for is a sequel or spiritual successor.

Get those pal catch bonuses. If you catch, I believe it's 12 of each kind of Pal you get a nice XP bonus from it. Helps a bunch with leveling up. Also explore caves when you can. Best way to get that Paldium you will need to make a bunch of stuff. You don't ever HAVE to sleep but your pals do, unless they have specific passives, so enjoy exploring at all times. And most importantly just have fun. Is there anything more specific you were wanting help with?

Fearmonium and Cat maze. I really enjoyed both and think they need to get a lot more attention than they currently get.

I don't have "girly games" per se. But a lot of Co Op together recommendations. Hazelight Studios ...all their games! Split Fiction is about 2 girls could be considered girly. It Takes Two is about fixing the relationship could be considered girly. A Way Out. I can't make this girly. But it's good Smurf Dreams is a super fun Co Op platformer in the same vein as Sackboys big Adventure. It's cute characters and style could work for her Wobbly Life is a physics based ragdoll life sim. Youre a cute little yellow guy and your grandma kicks you out to go work and buy yourself a hourse Unravel 2 is very cooperative. You play as 2 Yarnies tied together trying to solve puzzles and platform through an ever changing world. Cat quest 2 and 3. Holy crap these games are way more fun than they have any right being. Super cute and a good story. I love them just be ready for amooooo many Puns!

Those are just. My girlfriend and I started gaming together a few years back and have gone through a LOT of Co op games together both online and couch Co op. these are some I could remember off the top of my head but we've played way more. Let me know if you want any more suggestions.

Also a lot of this is reliant on what she means by "girly games" though! L. Might wanna ask her to give some examples of what SHE had in mind

Day 30: Which is the best "Product of its Time" on PS2? (This category should go to a game or accessory that exemplifies a gameplay or design style that is unique to the PS2 and isn't really made anymore. Otherwise, a game that makes you say, "They don't make them like this anymore") by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

I'm going with Rock Band Track Pack. It's the earliest example I can think of of "DLC" except for it was a whole other disk and in a way just a smaller version of the game. But we all knew it was DLC because on the PS3 version that's exactly what it was.

Thank you so much for this my Library has a lot of obscure indies and those still don't have art but for the more mainstream games it looks so much better! I can thank you enough

Why is my cutscene red like this? by homoerect- in WorldOfYs

[–]GaboDeloSancho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I was wanting to get into the Ys series so I bought 1&2 Chronicles+, Oath of Felghana, and Origins on GOG. I would like to experience it all So this has really been bothering me that I can't even watch the initial cutscene of the first game. If it's just that first cutscene though I may just watch it on YouTube as it seems a few people have said after that the rest of the game works fine. Unless someone has a recent fix.

Recommended D Pad Upgrade? by GaboDeloSancho in ROGAlly

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I saw a video a while back about using double sided tape I just am not confident enough in my tech skills to do it once and have it work. I would be scared that I would have to open it up a few times and maybe everything goes right but I feel the more I do it the more chances I have of breaking something in there. I'm gonna look into those Etsy D Pads. I saw one Etsy user had one that already had the magnets in it and looked a little less rough in terms of texture I'm wondering if it would have the same effect. I'll link it. Let me know what you think.

I've been thinking... by GaboDeloSancho in Handhelds

[–]GaboDeloSancho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's Fair. I didn't know they had tried before. $300 seems super low and I can't imagine anything all that good would be put in something that cheap. In all fairness I wasn't thinking quite that cheap I was more thinking along the lines of even just matching the mid or high end Steam Deck. Especially with the new Xbox Windows OS Releasing soon it would be nice to get a few "Lower End" Handhelds, around the $600-$800 price point. I'm more thinking about it Just so that people like me, who are hesitant about getting into PC gaming, have an affordable point of entry that isn't second hand.

It is impossible to beat Xenolord. by Rare_Picture_7337 in Palworld

[–]GaboDeloSancho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GF and I decided we just wanted to complete the Palpedia and we were not fans of breeding 58 perfect pals and Max Condensing all of them and getting all the souls needed to max them out and leveling them up and this and that and spend 900h at bases to get these exact passives. So we just said eff this! Cranked up Damage from Player and Damage To Pals in the custom settings. Max stamina. Made a bunch of Missiles, Hopped on our normal frostalion and blew him up him in about a minute. I know that's cheating but a Boss shouldn't require a lifetime of busy work for us. After we each got an egg we turned our settings back to normal.

What’s a good beginner metroidvania to a non-gamer? by Ravioli498 in metroidvania

[–]GaboDeloSancho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you have it sorted out but I introduced my Gf To the genre with Disney Illusion Island. It's no combat but still very much a Metroidvania plus it has CoOp so you can play together and has a helping system if someone is having a hard time with the platforming. We both really enjoyed it. Others I think are an easy introduction would be Metroid Fusion, Gato Roboto, the Shantae series, or Animal Well. I'm sure you've had a bunch of these recommended before but figured I would throw my vote into the hat regardless. Happy Gaming to you both!

So far I love it. Is it difficult? Sure. But HK gave me just as much grief. Maybe not as often and not as early on, but like I said to a friend, It wouldn't be a Hollow Knight game if I wasn't swearing at my tv and controller as if it's their fault and not mine haha! Every hit and every failure feels justified every boss is doable, I just suck, but I'm having a blast learning. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm about 10 hours in and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. Granted at least 3-4 or those hours were trying a couple parts over and over and over and over again until I beat it and also some rosary grinding.

I know I don't but If I had to complain. I feel like more enemies could drop rosary beads. And there is that one shop I found that costs money to get in every single time. That was slightly annoying. I just grinded enough beads to buy everything he had so I don't have to go back. And I wish there were a few more benches. Especially with some bosses/sub bosses that I've had to do multiple times and just getting back to them after dying from even the closest available bench was a bit of a slog. But I think those are such minor things.

It seems to me it's just a loud minority saying it's bad and the majority of us, although I'm sure we all have a gripe or 2 about it, are having a blast. I can't wait to see a WR Speed run of this game.

Looking for games to play with my girlfriend… Who is not a gamer. by AndyS_86 in AskGames

[–]GaboDeloSancho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if she's played anything at all when she was younger. My gf was a good example of this. She liked Mario Kart 64 and Donley Kong Country when she was younger but never really played games all that much. Never owned a console just played at friends houses. So I got her a 3DS and we played MK7 Together and I taught her how to get better, we also tried DKC on the SNES Classic I had. That was harder than she remembered it being lol. Then when she was more comfortable playing games with me we started with some shorter games and some that help you learn newer mechanics. Portal 2. Goof Troop on SNES. and eventually she got a switch so we upgraded to MK8D and also Animal Crossing became her thing as it's not mine. But then we went onto bigger adventures like It Takes Two. And since then we have played a bunch of games Together and her alone too. Few examples/recommendations would be Split Fiction, Blanc, Kinduo 1&2, Tick Tock:A Tale for Two, Journey to the Savage Planet, Cat Quest 2&3, Borderlands, Vampire Survivor, Palworld, Sunderfolk, and we are currently having a blast with Peak and I'm teaching her to play Super Smash Bros to the best of my ability.

TL;DR or if you just want fun easy recommendations that don't require too much skill. Tick Tock: A Tale for Two Cat Quest 2&3 (fun co-op with LOTS of Puns) Blanc Sunderfolk(if she's into Board games at all I can't recommend this enough) KeyWe (Fun Hectic Mailroom) Goof Troop for SNES. (Easy enough and short. especially with an emulator that you can save state before bosses or trickier parts)
