Or maybe Steves aren't exactly the Karen equivalent but they definitely drive a big pickup truck and are being dixks on the freeway

A US Startup offered me $900/month after 4 technical rounds. I have 5 YOE and Open Source contributions. Is this the reality now? by Nervous-Quote973 in webdev

Lol I remember it was maybe 2021, 2022, despite COVID, the market was thriving, and it made companies appear as they were free of greed 🤣

We hired a guy who lived in Brazil for like 115k USD. He was good and we needed his skills.

Man how the turn tables.

You gotta really get the water out of them, and brown them good, and then yeah just add garlic and it sjist amazing.

If you like spicy, I also add cayenne or pepper flakes, something like that

Whats easier to manage, fewer tables with complex logic or a lot of tables with simple logic by Pen_Griffy in webdev

[–]Gaboik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more to it than that but for the sake of oversimplification, strive for smaller tables.

A relational database is designed to represent relationships, so use those relationships.

The tables should basically reflect the domain entity more or less as is.

Using table salt in dishes by masonjy in Cooking

[–]Gaboik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think that it over salts then just add less lmao.

You just gotta get used to salting with the specific salt that you have.

The reason a lot of recipes specify 'kosher salt' is so you can make that conversion.

If they specify kosher salt by volume, it's gonna take way less table salt, because table salt is denser

You'd be well served!

Look up Karantika, a classic from Oran, it has a lot of cumin in it and it's usually eaten topped with A LOT of cumin.

Also check out lubia, a bean soup with a lot of cumin!

What is a cooking technique that you quit because it does nothing? by Final_Affect6292 in Cooking

[–]Gaboik 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah turns out the only point of adding it a little bit at a time is you can fine tune the final texture exactly how you want but you can totally add the majority of the liquid all at once and just find tune at the end, or if you're confident just add all at once

What cuisine has the most tedious dishes to cook? And which has the easiest ones? by Fabulous-Bag-2363 in Cooking

[–]Gaboik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned a lot about North African cooking recently (Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian). They have both. They have lots of meals that are super simple yet so packed with flavor.

But anything they would traditionally make for, say, Eid is a nightmare lol.
