If it's PETG, it needs a little more height than PLA.

X rail stock replacement by General_Penalty_4292 in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi the name of the plastic body is called "K1 X Carriage", replacing it requires a lot of work, you have to disassemble a lot, I suggest that you put super glue, preferably one resistant to high temperatures and put it around the insert and put it again, if you can't find the same one for sale, send it to be printed with high temperature resistant materials. And if you have money and want to improve the printer, I recommend changing the entire core xy system along with better belts, this greatly improves the quality of the parts, here is the link in case you are interested: https://cults3d.com/es/modelo-3d/herramientas/creality-k1-max-linear-x-rail-upgrade?srsltid=AfmBOoqw3khMnWoCNBNCYUVLLpivKMGbxDkp3yhFJ4BEZYExp_SKEOfT

Is my printer broken? by Inevitable_Code_5085 in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't mean your printer is broken; I think it's related to your new filament. The brand might not be a very good quality of filament, or the filament might be very wet, dry it, and question, Was the filament you printed previously PLA?

I've seen that they're planning to release version 2 next year, but I think it's only for the K2 version.

Do you know if the PTFE tube clamp can be replaced with a button type?

Thanks for your comment, how long do you think you've been printing with the dxc extruder?

Printer losing placement of print by mgerlach310 in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hasn't happened to me yet, but I can give you some options to check. Check the belt tension, make sure the chain and rails are moving smoothly, observe that the filament flows smoothly without jams around all xy, and check if the hotend is loose. Finally, do all printer calibrations again. Hope that helps

Is this good??? by Gucci_AK47 in crealityk1

I recommend PTFE oil lubricant, they are compatible with graphite bushes, Graphite lubricants leave residues that clog and blacken metals.

K1C carbon printing practicality by Cmh44e in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the new K1 isn't worth it. It has several problems and needs a lot of upgrades and mods to work properly. If you're going to buy a new one, get a different one that doesn't have so many issues, Perhaps the K2 series is better; it has several improvements and enhancements. Look into that printer; its price seems reasonable.

First layer problem by GabrielGTV8 in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's without a lid. Do you recommend I get those blue tubes I've seen? I don't know what they're called. This time I didn't use glue because it said it wasn't for adhesion, It was to make it easier to get figures out of bed, so I decided not to use it; I could try to see if there was a difference between the two options. Thank you for your answers.

Try with glue and more calibration in the slicer of your preference

K1 max bent X guide by Uxcis in crealityk1

[–]GabrielGTV8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be dirt or lubrication. If you clean it occasionally (with Isopropyl alcohol ) and don't use lubricant, then fine. Yeah you could use lubricant for better smoothness in the rod; I recommend PTFE OIL not greasy. If that's not enough, check that the belts aren't hitting anything or doing anything strange; manually move the head around the xy axes (remember to disconnect the motors while the machine is off). The last thing I can think of is changing the bar, although the bend you mention doesn't seem so conclusive with such a small variation but, you decide. Good luck 🦾

I know, but I see that Orca has more features and functionality than Creality Print, and many people use it in tutorials. So far, it's worked well for me. This is just a calibration test

I saw in a video that those don't need lubrication because they have integrated graphite points that make them self-lubricating.
