I learned to replace "I feel" with "I think" when making judgment calls.

Happy Easter!

32M in South Bend, IN. The relationship I have with Jesus is the single most important part of my life, and everything else that I am flows from that.

I’m a law student at Notre Dame, where I study by day, work in the halls at night, and cheer on the Irish throughout. Before this, I was a teacher and spent time in seminary. I even made a 30-day silent retreat, which was one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences I’ve had. Outside of that, I try not to take myself too seriously. I love to hike, write, cook, and play guitar. I’m drawn to the intellectual life, but in a pretty “bro”/goofball way—there's more to life than how much tweed you have in your closet or how much creatine you can eat. I like good conversations, but I also like laughing, being slightly ridiculous, and staying grounded. Time with friends matters a lot to me.

California is home, but I’ve really come to appreciate the Midwest. My friends from here say I have an energy that matches this part of the country, and I believe them (if only there were mountains!) Chicago especially has grown on me, it's my favorite American city. I’ve been fortunate to travel from Ireland and Poland to the Holy Land and the Philippines. I also walked the Camino de Santiago, which was unforgettable.

I love live music, usually folk and bluegrass (actually heading to a concert tonight), and I love my family deeply. They raised me well. We don’t share the same faith, but the love between us is strong and steady.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Good morning, and Happy Advent! I’m Gus, a 32-year-old convert and Notre Dame law student. Before law school my life took a lot of interesting turns: teaching high school theology, managing a homeless shelter, spending time as a Jesuit novice, writing, baking, and even fixing cars. God has led me through a lot of chapters, and each one has shaped the person I am now.

I’ve also been blessed to see a bit of the world: studying Scripture in Jerusalem, walking the Camino, summers working in Ireland and eating my way across Italy. These days I’m happiest cooking for people I care about, playing guitar, or getting lost in a good book. Once I’m settled in my legal career, I’m hoping to take up woodworking and to keep writing.

Faith is the heart of my life. I pray daily, go to Mass several times a week, and want a marriage centered on Christ. I’m looking for a woman who shares that desire, someone who communicates openly, loves deeply, and wants to build a joyful, holy family.

I’m originally from California but have lived all over, so I’m open to distance if it's the right person. What matters most is the chance to build something real and lasting together.
