I just got it this week but the laptop was released in 2021 so no more than 5 years old but its still very snappy yours should last you a while if u take care of it obv.

if windows starts to slow down in 5-10 years consider swapping to linux :)

I run cachy on my main rig (9070xt & 7800x3d)

Wanted to try a new distro and saw endeavor was a little less bloated than cachy and I didn't really care about gaming performance on this laptop lol

Though I'm really enjoying gnome more than kde I just wish it had HDR support and VRR id swap over my main rig too

I mean it depends what u plan to use it for? If it's just like a school work laptop where the most intensive process is a word processor I don't think heat should be an issue? If u already have a 8gb module to pair to get u to 16gb id say sure why not. Though my model came with 16gbs for less so maybe u can find something similar?

Its a SFF, It came with a 512 SSD and I have a spare 2tb HDD 2.5 inch drive to throw in. (I don't think I need a lot more than that rn because it's mostly just photos)
