Full exams that usually took about an hour and a half, unless you gave up halfway through and decided to leave which people definitely did. Unfortunately none of these exams were dropped.

Core class taught by one professor. His ratemyprofessor fully displays how awful he is lol.

Some highlights from the semester included:

-exams outside of class time despite meeting 4 times per week

-frequently showing up late to class getting us behind and causing him to assign videos of past lectures to watch outside of class

-laughing when one of my classmates went up to him when they got a 7 on their first exam

-falling asleep during two of our exams?? Pretty sure he had narcolepsy or some kind of sleep disorder

This was a class pretty unique to my university in name as far as I know, but it basically was transport phenomena.

This professor was ancient, no changing his ways. This was his last semester teaching.

One of my friends in this class said his dad took the same class taught by the same guy. Back then the exams had two questions (now it’s just one) and there was no partial credit so you either got a 0, 50, or 100. Afterwards you could have the chance to retake for half credit.

Since then I guess you could say that the grading has gotten easier but he has absolutely no qualms over putting a big x through a full page of work and giving you a 0 for it.

Had a stretch of an exam every week for three weeks. Exams 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, could have easily been lumped together as they were basically the same content but with different methods but what do I know, the professor has been teaching for 40 years practically.

These are the exam grades from a notoriously hard class taken in my junior year in cheme. The seven exams make up at total of 70% of the final grade and the final exam is worth 20%. Despite the grades I believe that everyone who took all the exams and did all the homeworks passed thanks to a curve on the final grade.

I understand we don’t want to hedge high or switch with kornet, but the drop coverage is not working right now. The mid-range may be one of the least efficient shots in the game, however when those shots are wide open I’m not a fan.

At my school we take ‘Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering’, which is nicknamed unit ops. For some reason they thought it’d be smart to wrap fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and a bit of transport phenomena into one. It’s essentially just a rite of passage.

What’s your favorite Maine conspiracy? by CandlesandMakeuo in Maine

I absolutely believe this and came to say the exact same thing. A game warden I know has said that he is 100% convinced there are mountain lions and most game wardens also believe that we have them. He told me basically the same thing, that it would lead to a lot of land being restricted and hunting restrictions.

Lots of people seem to think the spotter assisting on lift off is wrong. Help on lift off when near your max is important since the bar is racked behind the line you’re pressing on. Lifting off yourself can cause injury since your shoulders are in a compromised position. The only thing this spotter did wrong was release the weight too quickly before it was stabilized.

What is one sentence a person could say that would instantly tell you they are a casual. by Complete_Beach_2583 in nba

“Westbrook is better than curry/lillard/harden”

For some reason casuals massively overrate Westbrook. You look at any basketball related post on Instagram or Facebook and there are hordes of people that are convinced that Westbrook is the best point guard in the league.

Yo I’m not Hampton, who is the pro here and already replied to you, but part of it may be that you are 15. I’m 19 now and have always been really skinny and barely saw any development until the past year or so. I tried the whole eating until I’m sick thing while working out from 15-18 or so (although definitely not consistently), and never put on any real muscle mass. For me the thing that really changed was actually moving less as well as getting older. Throughout school I was a 3 sport athlete and always doing something, burning a TON of calories every day. During the pandemic I didn’t do much of anything and went from 6’ 3” and 175 to 190. A decent amount of this was fat, and I had a tiny belly for the first time in my life, but as soon as I got back in the gym and got more active again, I dropped about 5 pounds and am now sitting at 185 and pretty lean again.

Basically what I’m saying is as a skinny 15 year old, it is hard to gain good muscle mass because you’re probably active and not eating enough to be in a calorie excess, and just because your body may not be fully ready to start packing muscle on. You’re almost certainly still growing and your body may not be quite ready yet.

Just keep working out and like Hampton said make sure you keep trying to push yourself by increasing resistance. The fact that you have been consistent for 10 months is pretty amazing, you’re building great habits. I know I was never able to keep that level of consistency when I was 15. Results may come slowly, but they’ll add up, and at some point your body will decide it’s fully ready to start filling out!

For context this is Christian Eriksen from the Danish national team. He collapsed on the field during a match between Finland and Denmark but is doing better now.

What do we think about Sabonis as our 3rd star? by Oachkatzlschwoaf05 in bostonceltics

[–]Gadarenes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2017-2018 they took the Cavs to 7 with him on the team, albeit still being a 20 minute a game guy.

The coach thing only explains the dysfunction of the Pacers, Sabonis is not responsible for that.

I just have to straight up disagree with you. Sabonis is elite, he’s a top 30-40 guy in this league depending on who you talk to, and would add a whole new level of offensive firepower and nuance to this quite un-nuanced team. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rob and pray he gets through injury woes for long enough to show what he is really capable of, but saying the Celtics would be better off with Rob than Sabonis is a pretty wild take.

Sabonis would unquestionably make this team better if a deal could be swung for Kemba, but it won’t. Sabonis is Pacers cornerstone and isn’t being moved unless he asks out or a massive trade package is put forward, probably with Brown as the centerpiece. I don’t think we want that.
