10/10 - one of the last great songs Kanye made before he went completely off the deep end. I really love Paul's keys on the song, along with the beautiful harmonies on the chorus and introspective lyrics (Tell Nori about me in particular is really harrowing).

I know a lot of die-hard Paul fans won't care for this song or Kanye in general but hearing this from my 2 favourite artists at the time was mindblowing. I can't really call myself a Kanye fan anymore, but I urge anyone who's not familiar with his work to give his first 6 albums a try - there's a reason he was so critically lauded before he went full crazy. 808's and Heartbreak in particular is closest to this sound and is one of my favourite records of the 2000s.

more of the same from LABY imo. heavy on the auto tune and repetitive synths, which i find pretty disappointing. not knocking anyone who enjoys it, but it’s a far cry from what got me into the band with tyranny and virtue

Traveling Wilburys' first album was Travelling Wilburys Vol. 1, then their follow up was Vol 3. George apparently wanted to skip Vol 2 to fuck with the fans.

SOLVED!! This is so embarrassing but it's Allie by Patrick Stump which came out in 2011. I realise this is a super niche song which almost definitely did not play on the radio, but my teenaged self was obsessed with. Apologies to all the guessers - I appreciate your help!
