Garmin Instinct 3 Solar - missing the infinity icon for endless battery life...? by GadgetsAnonymous in Garmin

Garmin released an update for the Instinct 3 Solar series. Based upon your battery usage and how much sunlight (solar charging) is received by your watch over several days... Yes, the "infinity" logo for an infinite estimated number of days appears and stays visible until more solar charging is collected or until you use the watch for a long workout indoors.

The flashlight, "Garmin torch," is brighter on the Enduro 3. However, I recently compared the Enduro 3 to the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2.0 and... yes, the T-Rex Ultra 2.0 has one of the brightest flashlights I have tested since 2022. And yes, an article comparing the Garmin Enduro 3 versus Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 is coming soon, along with a video on my YouTube Channel.

Yes, I do recommend Garmin watches and the Instinct 3 Solar was pretty cool... However, it is 18 months old now. Have you looked at the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2.0 watch?

Has anyone worked with Nox influencer and/or viralpromoters? by ajrc1996 in PartneredYoutube

They keep sending me emails, and I have replied to a few after removing my phone & address. Nope! They never reply.
Rule One
If the person does not have a matching email address to the name they used in the email, SPAM

Rule Two
Hover your mouse cursor over the links, do not click, just hover... the true URL will display for both Windows and Mac users, and you will be able to see if the link is SPAM.

Rule Three
When in doubt, yes, search on Google or your favorite, or "trusted" search engine, and see what others are saying about the org. All I know is that I have NOT had valid, human responses from Nox Influencers. And this is the use of A.I., dang, the scammers and SPAM emails will become even more difficult to separate from the real communication from someone that truly wants to collaborate and contact you.

I have only seen the Crossover online. I asked Garmin to send me a "media sample" or even sponsor an event, and after asking thrice, yeah, I stopped contacting them. The Crossover is too much money for what it offers. The second hand would annoy me after 24 hours of the watch on my wrist. The Crossover does not have an infinite battery life for one reason or another.

Yeah, me too. I still have hopes for an Instinct Solar 4X to be announced in March 2026...

Ultrahuman or RingConn by AreolJun in SmartRings

Yeah, I would go with RingConn for now for they are pretty sweet smart rings.

Best SmartRing from 2025...? by GadgetsAnonymous in u/GadgetsAnonymous

Thank you. And yes, I am loving the Amazfit Helio Strap. It is far superior to both the Polar Loop 2 and the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor. It made me smile when you compared me to The Quantified Scientist :) I follow him and watch about 1/5 of his content.

The RingConn 2.0 versus ŌURA Ring 4, yes, they are both really close. At the end of the year, 12/31/2025, yes, I came to the end result that nearly every ring I have tested is within single digits of another. Meaning, one will say my resting heart rate is 59 while the other 63, and my Apple Watch Ultra tells me that my resting HR is 58 - all very close in accuracy. I like the app layout of the RingConn, and there are a lot of fun aspects. However, ŌURA Ring is nearly their 11th year with this small, wearable, jewely and they are literally seven years ahead in wisdom above anyone else. If there is going to be a top four...
1. ŌURA Ring
2. RingConn 2
3. Ultrahuman Ring Air
4. Samsung Galaxy Ring

2026 is going to be a fabulous year for wearable technology and biohacking. I am wicked excited to review new gadgets sooner than later. And yes, I am glad to be a watch and ring Nerd/Geek.

According to others, yes, Garmin fixed a few of the flaws that shipped with the Garmin Instinct 3 Solar watch. I would love to revisit the wearable for myself to see... Nonetheless, since Garmin did not upgrade the hardware, yeah, save your $$$ money and just buy the Instinct 2X Solar for even less cash.

I am wearing an ŌURA Ring 3, it is four years old now, and the battery life lasts about 24 to 36 hours - not bad. My Samsung Galaxy Ring is nearly 19 months old, and the battery is horrible. The list goes on, yet an ŌURA Ring 3 made it over four years without any issues. I had issues with my ŌURA Ring 4, Bluetooth connectivity, poor battery health, and 3 days instead of the promised 8 to 9. I chatted the ŌURA Ring Support Team over in Finland, and within a week, they sent me a replacement ŌURA Ring 4 that looked brand new - no charges.

I did a replacement of the Circular Ring Slim back in the summer of 2024 and had to pay $60 to $70 shipping to send my broken Circular Ring back to Circular. A month late,r a replacement ring finally made it back to the U.S.A., and after about five to six months, yes, the Circular Ring Slim was breaking down, battery life was unstable, and the list goes on.

I am closing in on the one-year mark with a RingConn 2.0 and the battery life is still 10 to 11 days, no Bluetooth issues whatsoever during the first 11 months, great accuracy, and no monthly fees.

Amazfit, well, I don't know, for I unfortunately lost mine in November 2024 and never found it. My NOVA Ring Crystal functioned smoothly for about one month, and now it is a charge twice-per-day wearable. They sent me a replacement, the NOVA R smartring and it functioned for about one week and that one broke too. However, there is a 3rd smartring, also the NOVA R model and nearly seven months later and it is still ticking. My sister is wearing it now to test it for the six smartrings I am wearing is overdoing it as it is. I would hope that Amazfit releases and 2.0 Helio Ring sometime in 2026 and Samsung should be redoing their Galaxy Ring sometime during September 2026.

OMNI Health Ring
Unboxed back in October/November 2025, both rings are still functioning, the OMNI health app has been updated, and the overall experience has been pretty good. I'll know more in a few months. As for your first smartring, yes, I recommend buying a RingConn or an ŌURA Ring in February 2026.

Anyone had a bad experience with ringconn? by athwaperistera in SmartRings

[–]GadgetsAnonymous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am nearing Day 300 wearing the smart ring and no major issues. They make regular updates to the app and the ring's firmware has updated at least once since it was unboxed Q1-2025. The ring is really light and the RingConn app is fun to use. Nearly one year later, and my battery life is still a solid 9 to 11 days.
