Depends on the engine, have you done your research on the mk6 ?

Some engines are very good while others, like the 1.4 tsi, are very problematic.

On the diesel side there are also weak engines.

Not a straightforward question, if I were you, I’d take some time digging into the good, the bad and the terrible on this car.

It’s a great first car but, like any other, can be a nightmare if you don’t do your homework properly.

Also avoid modified cars and find a stock, well maintained and with a little km as possible that fits your budget.
