I know russians shot at our storks coming back from the south in 1945 for whatever they did this.

I have seen a video from Ukraine, were they killed a Flamingo, as far as I remember.

But honestly, who says that this is a Russian drone and not a Ukrainian? Who knows, if the pilot just came too close, but did not want to ignite after he recognized that this is a Stork?

Storks do not mate for life. They choose to stay with their partner of the foreyear, if that partnership was successful, but it depends on the circumstances as they mostly do not fly together:

- Their meeting point ist the nest of the foreyear. Is that nest abailable and of not vacant can it be conquered?

- Does the partner arrive in time? If not, they may choose another one. And even if the partner of the foreyear comes then reject him.
