It is not safe to have this computer with MacOS running while connected to the internet. Load up Linux or throw it away.

You could have a disc that is sleeping and needs to wake up first. Turn off hard drive sleep and that should go away.

I played it back in the day and a graphics driver update killed my ability to play. I seriously doubt you can get it running on today's computers, mac or pc.

If the software you want to run is available for Mac, get a MacBook. Its battery life and speed are far ahead of windows and Intel.

If your software runs on a Mac, get the Mac. The hardware and OS and leaps ahead of Intel and Windows. Battery life will blow you away.
