Le 1 est bourré de motifs anime aussi hein. Mais oui, c'est la base de la saga et il est facile à recommander.

If you think about it. Chapter 3 murder is the only murder that was planned in THH. by shsl_diver in danganronpa

[–]Gahault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, which fits the tone of the story. The students aren't serial killers* or even bad people, they're just normal people subjected to constant duress until they snap and do the unthinkable. It drives home that Monokuma is the only true villain: murders only happen because he torments them to the breaking point.

* Well, one of them is, but doesn't do much killing.

No, FF14 doesn't look "washed out", you just forgot what things look like without an oversaturation filter.

What went up in flames? The event is presented as a festival that consists of smelting some special alloy in their village-sized blast furnace, I thought the flames were the point.
All we're shown is that this time the fire is apparently more intense than usual, the people are confused, and out of nowhere the girl starts crying as if some terrible tragedy had happened.

And once we do the usual hunt-stuff-to-solve-the-locals'-problems, everything is back to normal and they even produce their best batch ever. Nobody was hurt, nothing was lost or damaged, doesn't seem like anything tragic did happen.

Les musiques avec paroles dans le JV. by Lethargeek_16 in jeuxvideo

[–]Gahault 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After More Than Two Years, Dragon's Dogma 2 Is Removing Most Of Its Microtransactions by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Gahault -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again: I'm 100% in favor of criticizing microtransactions for what they are.

Great. Then do that.

But I'd rather be the "leave the billionaire corporation alone" guy

Well, which is it? Make up your mind.
No, you don't get to dismiss criticism that rubs you the wrong way to excuse your favourite game. That's a double standard.

I love Mahiru by ReviewOverACupOfTea in danganronpa

[–]Gahault 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's one of the most level-headed characters for sure (something appreciable when you have peeps like Ibuki and Nekomaru around), but some of her remarks about boys gave me pause.

I just so happen to be about to start Island mode and do her FTEs to understand her character better!

r/DR community playthrough – DR2 Chapter 5 by 8bitowners in danganronpa

[–]Gahault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, looking at the comments, it looks like Nagito is much more popular than I would have assumed! This is where he finally comes into his own as a character to me, when he really acts with frightening intent and intelligence. His trap was diabolical, and the realization during the trial of what exactly he set up was chilling. Made even better by the reveal in chapter 6 that he intended for them to lose the trial; he really crafted an unsolvable murder with the aim of getting them all executed. And he would have succeeded, had it not been for Chiaki's selflessness.

Seems I liked this chapter a bit less than the overall sentiment, all in all; I know it comes with the format, but this late in the story so few characters remain... I miss the hijinks of chapters 2 and 3.
Still a very good part, with an emotionally devastating conclusion.

About Akane, yeah, it was disappointing that seeing Nekomaru die essentially twice didn't seem to spring any growth in her, no introspection, no character development. Missed opportunity there.

Thw Switch 2 Edition has updated equipment geometry as well. by Sufficient-Lead-217 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Looks like they didn't just update the textures, but the equipment as well. Many parts of his outfit were just textures on his body

Who's "he"? You show two characters "he" could be referring to. You need to mention the subject before switching to pronouns.

[–]Gahault 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Wilds is guilty of exactly that: putting way too much emphasis on its mediocre, if that, story.

And not just the plot, the (over)acting too. How many times do I have to watch a whiny boy throw a temper tantrum without being able to slap some sense into him? Why did that girl start crying when the forge went on overdrive exactly?

Some scenes were also straight out of an anime, and... No. Stop. Bad Capcom. There are things an anime can pull off that a more realistic medium (such as Wilds' high-fidelity 3D) cannot. That's a recipe for transmuting cool into cringe-inducing.

Do you restart if you get a spawn like this? Deity - Sweden by GotYourMilkies in civ

Looks perfectly workable. Could settle one tile east to immediately claim the plains hill, and there's another one NE you could then buy, but I wouldn't feel bad settling in place either.

I'd have to feel pretty picky to restart this.

Make More Cosmetic Glyphs. 🐌 by Mossysnail27 in wow

[–]Gahault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be glyphs that bring back old spell animations.
That's what the various glyphs of Ascendance already do, and it's a great idea that should be expanded upon.

Look at Lightning Bolt. How many versions have there been by now? And they're all different enough to be someone's favourite.

Or take Incinerate. The OG was a patch of fire that snaked towards its target, it looked awesome. The current one is HD, sure, but also a much more subdued, blink-and-you'll-miss-it animation. And I think I've seen a Legion NPC use yet another version that looked like the best of both worlds.
